Fixing Don Tropes

So a lot of tropes I found had to do with Don for some reason, maybe because back then he was a bit of a blank slate and we could do anything, but either way, I decided to go ahead and only do three

I'll need a bit more ideas for other tropes — and please, don't include Don

So the first one

Nekos......

You know, I never really understood the appeal of that. But either way, in a lot of the fanfics I read, there were some stories where Don was part fox for some reason....? I don't even know what role that played in the story other than he just was

And not only that, but he would always be shy, skittish, and sometimes feisty even though that doesn't really add up..... This trope really bothered me for some reason and I don't know why. Maybe because it's supposed to be some kink thing, but I just always thought it was weird the way it was written.

And, you know, the way those writers implemented Don's personality just.... wasn't Don at all
(That will be a constant with these tropes, though I understand these are fanfics and you can do what you want, I don't care. I'm just pointing out that the way he was written didn't give me Don vibes whatsoever, it sometimes felt like.... just a pile of mush. Someone put the hat on it and called it Don..... If that makes sense)

So anyways, with this neko thing, I decided to take a cartoony direction

So we all know Disney and fairytales. One thing I've noticed in these fanfics is that Don was literally always shy and innocent with a bit of a bite to him........
But in every other story I've read, foxes have always been portrayed as sleezy, mischievous little con artists

And so that's the direction I took

And with this design, I somehow came up with a story

I imagine it'd take place in like a city. Don would be the villain, playing like a mobster or con artist that scammed people, and he had the help of his friends

Now, what are Dick and Dashlie? Well
Dashlie I decided would be part pigeon because she said she doesn't like birds. So guess what? You're a dirty little city pigeon
And Dick? Hmmmmm welll.......my feral little brain kept chanting "rat cowboy rat cowboy rat cowboy rat cowboy rat cowboy rat cowboy rat cowboy" so.... Dick's a rat cowboy

The main character of the story would maybe be Jon. Maybe he's a forest animal moving into the city, idk. Didn't put as much thought into that

Also, here's the note I wrote down to remember what I'm doing with Neko Don:

Don as a skittish uwu neko fox:
Instead a mischievous little asshole who punches walls to make the glass fall over: a bit much and taking the long way to get to things, but always manages to disappoint you and ruin your day in the end

The entire time I was drawing this version of the dreaded neko Don, I was listening to "Alastor's Game" by the Living Tombstone
And it's the same for the next trope we've got coming up
