I leaned back on the comfy sofa present in the lounge and sighed deeply while speaking 'I don't love you' like a mantra. I closed my eyes and put my hand over my face. I bit my lips and swallowed hard. As I was sitting, I decided to call Aiden just to ask about his health, really just to ask... nothing else.
"Hey." I heard his voice as a smile crept upon my lips.
"Hi, How are you?" I asked in a soft voice.
"I am perfect, thanks to you." He said sincerely. I giggled and replied, "Welcome. I was so worried. I am glad that you are okay."
"By the way, I am looking forward to seeing you at the party today."
"You are coming? You shouldn't, you are not well." I said worried.
"Don't worry, I am fine. I hope we can dance together today too." He said.
"Is that so? Then I better prepare my feet." I said playfully.
"You do. I have begun to think that I need to get some lessons on social dance from you."
"You are very welcome. But, you'll have to pay. I won't do anything for free" I joked. He chuckled and replied, "Yeah sure. How about a good massage to your feet with mine?" I laughed.
"Okay then.. See you in the evening." He said.
"Bye." I said and cut the call.
I smiled widely remembering the day he took me to the party as his partner and we danced, the day I realized that I love him. No, I don't love him. We can never work out, we are so different.
'Even you are not convinced by your words.' my mind scoffed and I puffed and left to my room to take long relaxing bath, diverting my mind from all this stupid thoughts that are becoming unbearable day by day.

I looked at my reflection in the mirror, looking satisfied with my appearance. A wide spread upon my lips as I spun in my gown which hugged my curves perfectly as it has a long slit on the left side of it. The maroon gown looked so elegant on me, I let my hair fall on my back as I curled them from the edges. It suited me well. I secured my hair in a waterfall hairstyle and applied makeup in accordance with the dress and my taste. After getting changed, I sat on the bed and sighed. I looked at my feet, thinking which shoes I'll wear. Because of the slit my shoe would be visible. Should I change?
Why would you change just for him?
I quickly shook my head and took this thought off from my mind. Before I could attract more to him, I should avoid him at all costs.
I took out my gladiator shoes which increased the grace more and walked out after looking at my for the one last time. I walked down and asked father,
"How do I look?"
"Just like your mother." Father said and pat my head. I smiled sheepishly and replied with a 'thank you'.
"By mentioning your mother.. where is she?" Father asked. I put my index finger under my chin and replied, "Maybe getting ready."
Father made an 'o' face as we stood there for a few moments and mother looked down and upon seeing her father's jaw dropped. I chuckled and pinched father's cheeks.
"Here is your woman. Don't gawk that much. I know she is beautiful" I winked. Father quickly closed his mouth and walked towards mother and held her hand and said, "Indeed she is." I smiled looking at them as the desire to have a marriage like them arose in me. Just how loving they are. Soulmate, made for each other.
