Jessica POV:-
The next day, we both pretend that nothing happened last night. I honestly don't even want to think about it, it was nothing but a sudden and unexpected turn of events, it held no meaning for me. It was nothing but a mistake. I should shrug this thought off and there is no need to think about it and it's for the better that we stay silent and don't think about it too much, it is insignificant and the earlier we forget it, the better.
I woke up before Aiden as usual and cooked breakfast for us and went to our room to wake him up. He was already awake, I walked in and greeted him without looking at him.
"Good Morning."
"Morning…" He replied yawning as he stood up and left for the bathroom without exchanging much words like usual.
I waited for him to come out as I tapped my foot on the floor while hugging my sides. He walked out and looked at me and we both went to have breakfast.
After breakfast, we all were sitting in the lounge as Aiden began to say to his Father, "Father.. I was thinking about joining the office starting tomorrow." he raised an eyebrow at him and asked amusingly, "Why? You are a newlywed. There's no need to engross in your work. Spend some time with your wife before your life becomes monotonous." He laughed and Aide chuckled nervously and at the same moments, Aunt entered.
"Edmond is right, there's no rush." She said, taking a seat with Uncle as I sat in the farthest corner of the sofa Aiden was sitting.
"Yeah. You should go on your honeymoon too." Aunt suggested, I shivered when I heard about it. Just that thought evoked undesirable thoughts in me. Aiden turned to me and asked, "Do you want to?" keeping up my facades, I replied to him with a faint smile, "Yeah.. I don't have any problem." Even if my mind is filled with unwanted emotions, I replied in my usual sweet voice I use in front of everyone. Aunt clapped her hands in blithe as Uncle said, "Then it's decided. You can join work after your honeymoon." Aiden and I nodded.
"By the way, your ring is beautiful."Aunt complimented as I looked at the ring Aiden gave me as our wedding gift. Aiden looked at me with a hint of astonishment like he didn't expect me to wear it.
"Thanks." I replied with a smile, genuinely. And a silence fell upon the room but then I said, "Aunt.."
"Yes, Dear?"
"I know it's been a few days but I really miss my parents, can I go there?" I asked expectantly. She laughed and replied, "Of course, no need to ask permission." I smiled widely and stood up.
"Aiden. You should drop her off." Father said.
"It's okay. I can go."I said and went to our room. I am going to my home after my marriage for the first time, I should look good. I wore a midnight blue backless frock with long sleeves. The dress reached above my knees, the borders were adorn with laces. I secured my hair in a messy side bun and wore a set of black bangles. I applied a little makeup.
I turned and Aiden came out with a towel around his neck, water dripping from his hairs down to his bare chest. Showing his glorious toned body wearing only his black jeans. My eyes widened as a blush crept upon my cheeks. My mouth gaped as my heart picked pace. I quickly turned my head away.
I spared a glance at him, as he picked his shirt on the bed and he seemed bewildered by my flushed reaction. He wore his grey shirt and turned to me. I finally turned to him. His eyes scanned me from top to bottom, he seemed taken back. I lowered my gaze and grateful to my makeup or else he can easily see my crimson face. He raised his eyebrow at me and walked to me. He held my one hand with his and put his other hand over my forehead.
