"Mirae!" Habol sa akin ni Vynz. Mabuti nalang at sinundan niya ako dahil hindi ko talaga alam kung saan pupunta. I just walked away at dito ako dumiretso sa kung saan nanggaling sila Vynz. Tinawag muli ako ni Vynz at noon ko lang ito hinarap.

"What?" I rose my brow up on him.

"Are you hurt?" He asked. I didn't answer. Lumapit siya sa akin at inayos ang buhok ko. Sinuklay niya ito gamit ang mga daliri. Mainggat ang paghawak niya doon na para bang isang maling galaw lang niya ay masasaktan ako. Nakatangin ako sa mga mata nito habang ginagawa niya iyon. His eyes still look dangerous yet comforting.

"Let's see if your soup is ready." He uttered. Iginiya niya ako sa kitchen. Dumiretso siya sa countertop at tinignan ang niluluto bahang ako ay nanatiling nakatayo sa tapat noon.

"Nasaan ako?" I asked.

"Devaughne's headquarters."

"It doesn't look like a headquarters for me. It looks like an ancestral mansion." I stated. The mansion feels ancient from the interiors down to a single piece of furniture.

"It is an underground mansion." Now I know why I can't see any windows kahit saan ako mag punta. I remember that I'm looking for sun rays. Kahit pa may bintana ay wala akong makikitang sinag ng araw dito.

"Where's that room?" I asked pertaining to the room na pinagkulunggan nila sa akin.

"Under this mansion is our headquarters." Under this mans--what?!

"This is an underground mansion and under this mansion is your headquarters at doon mo ako kinulong? You literally want to bury me six feet under the ground." I muttered using a sarcastic tone.

"I'm sorry-"

"Stop saying sorry." Pigil ko dito. "Everyone can say sorry but some aren't sincere." I stopped for a while then continued. "Why are you sorry anyway? I hurt your sister. I killed her. I should be the one saying sorry but I can't say it right now. I know sorry isn't enough. I took her life, you should take mine too." I stated. Iniwan nito ang niluluto at pumunta sa aking harapan.

"I can't lose you." He muttered.

"Why? I'm not even important to you so you can."

"You are." He firmly said. "I love you Mirae." Marahang sambit nito. I can feel my heart beating faster than the usual. Why the hell is he saying that.

I shook my head. "I killed Aleesha."

"I know. But I can't lose you, I won't."

"Vynz." Marahang tawag ko dito.

Muli itong bumaling sa niluluto. "Come on eat this." Pagiiba nito sa usapan. Lumapit siya sa akin dala ang soup na niluto niya. Nakalagay na iyon sa maliit na bowl. Akmang susubuan niya ako kaya agad kong kinuha iyon sa kanya.

"Ako na." I insisted. Binigay niya naman iyon sa akin.

Lumapit ako sa dining table at umupo. Ganoon din ang ginawa ni Vynz. Umupo ito sa kabisera na nasa tabi ko at pinanood ako habang kumakain.

He placed his hand in my forehead. "I'll drive you back to your condo when you get better."

Napatigil ako sa pagkain at bumaling sa kanya. "What?"

"Maybe you have some things to do. Your grandfather is in the hospital and your friend......died. Maybe you want to visit them."

"Why are you doing this?" I asked. He should kill me.

"I told you already." Simpleng sagot nito. Sandali kong ibinalik ang atensyon sa pagkain bago muling nagsalita.

"I'll visit my lolo but not Dash. It's the last day of his viewing tomorrow, I don't want to go." Sagot ko dito. I smiled ngunit alam ko na nakita ni Vynz na hindi iyon umabot sa aking mga mata.
