"I'm really happy you guys are back together, but maybe you should inform Nicole about it"-Leah reminded James, who was sitting on the sofa with Emmy on his lap.
"It's not my fault she decided to go back to New York for a week"-James defended himself-"I need to break up with her properly, I'm not going to make the same mistake again."
"Don't be too soft on her, because she's not going to take you serious"-Emmy advised him.
"But don't be too harsh either"-Leah added-"You don't need to break her heart even more."
"She'll get over it, it's not going to hurt as much as her smashed nose"-Emmy shrugged.
"I still can't believe you hit her"-Leah scolded her-"You said no more trouble, yet here we are."
"Wait, when did that happen?"-James raised an eyebrow at Emmy.
"After our fight, when I was waiting for my taxi, she came to me and said some mean things to me. I decided to give that bi... I mean, your girlfriend a lesson."
"You were jealous again, weren't you?"-James grinned at Emmy.
"Says the guy who jumped at Carlos in the middle of a restaurant"-she hit his arm.
"I don't have to worry about him anymore, he seems to be really into your mom"-James joked.
"That's right"-Carlos appeared out of nowhere-"We've been texting ever since we got back from Vegas."
"What?!"-Emmy jumped up-"You can't be serious!"
"Emmy, Mama Panya is the sexiest and kindest woman I've ever met, and I think she might be the one"-Carlos explained-"If you love the both of us, don't stand in the way of our happiness."
"Oh God"-Leah commented, sipping from her orange juice.
"Carlos, get it through your little brain: my mother doesn't love you and she never will"-Emmy stated-"She lives in a perfectly happy marriage with my father and there's no way she'll leave..."
"Hi kids"-Mama Panya walked in.
"What are you doing here?"-Emmy crossed her arms.
"I came here to visit you"-she lied, glancing at Carlos.
"So it has nothing to do with the fight between you and David?"-he asked, concerned.
"What fight?"-Emmy hissed-"Why did you tell Carlos and not me?"
"Em, I think we should leave them alone"-James put a hand on her shoulder.
"No, I have a right to know what's going on in my family!"-she pushed his hand off-"Answer me, Mama Panya! Are you getting a divorce because of your weird obsession with Carlos?"
"You're taking it too far"-Leah warned her, seeing the tears in Mama Panya's eyes-"Let's go."

Somehow they managed to drag Emmy out of the room, so Carlos and Mama Panya could finally talk in peace.

"Panya, talk to me"-he encouraged her.
"I don't know what's happening to me"-she whispered-"I mean, I really love David, but then there's you and I have no idea what I really want. I tried talking to him about it, but the jealous pig he is..."
"I'm sorry, I never meant to destroy your family. But when I first saw you... I felt something I've never felt and I just couldn't help myself."
"You didn't destroy anything, Carlitos"-Mama Panya held his hand-"And I feel the same way about you."

They started making out on the couch. When Mama Panya was about to take off Carlos' shirt, Logan and Kendall burst in.

"Hey gu... woah!"
"You didn't see anything!"-Carlos shouted.
"Okay..."-Logan nodded slowly-"Uh, let's move on. Where's Leah?"
"Probably in their apartment with Emmy and James"-Mama Panya answered-"Is tonight the night?"
"How do you know about Logan's plan?"-Kendall questioned.
"Please, I know everything"-Mama Panya waved her hand, then turned to Logan-"So?"
"Yeah, I'm planning to take Leah back to the Hollywood sign where we said our first 'I love yous' and then... you know."
"Good luck with that"-Carlos patted his shoulder.
"Why did I sense irony in your voice? You don't believe my plan will work?"-Logan panicked.
"Well, you've been trying for over a year and Leah said no, so I get why Carlos has doubts"-Kendall said-"But I can assure you that this gesture is going to change her mind."
"I hope so"-Logan sighed-"I'll go ask her out."
"I'll come with you, I need to talk to my daughter"-Mama Panya followed him-"See you later, kitty boys!"
"I get sooo turned on when he calls me that"-Carlos told Kendall.
"And here's another thing that ruined my childhood"-he leaned back on the sofa-"Wait, I'm 21."

*Meanwhile*

"I'd love to go out with you tonight"-Leah wrapped her arms around Logan's shoulder-"Where are we going?"
"It's a surprise, but I'll give you a hint. You wore that flowery dress there."
"That's not much help, I had to wear it a lot because of you"-Leah scoffed.
"Sorry, that's all I can tell you"-Logan kissed her-"I'll pick you up at six."
"I'll get ready"-Leah ran off.
"Me too"-Logan was about to leave, then remembered-"James, Nicole's been looking for you."
"She's back? Then I guess it's time to break up with her"-he stood up.
"I'll come with you, you know, to make things easier"-Emmy suggested.
"You're not going anywhere until you hear me out"-Mama Panya stopped her.
"You had a chance to talk to me, but you chose Carlos instead"-Emmy looked at her with anger in her eyes. James and Logan quickly disappeared.
"Don't say that! I never chose Carlos, he was just there for me, when I needed someone to talk to. Over and over again."
"What do you think family is for? I get that you had a fight with Dad, but you could've just talked to me, or even Leah, but you texted Carlos. Over and over again."
"What was I supposed to say to you? That I caught feelings for your friend who's sixteen years younger than me? Is that what you wanted to hear?"-Mama Panya raised her voice. Emmy gasped.
"All this time I thought I was the messed up one in this family... but I guess it's you."
"You can't mean that"-Mama Panya covered her mouth, trying to force back a sob.
"Then stop putting me through any more shit!"-Emmy yelled-"I was doing just fine until you showed up and ruined everything. When is it my turn to have a normal life? When is it my turn to be happy?"
"Emmy, can you help me with my makeup?"-Leah opened the bathroom's door-"Oh, I chose the wrong time, didn't I?"
"No, we're done. Mama Panya was just leaving"-Emmy went over to her friend, slamming the door behind herself. A few seconds later, they heard Mama Panya doing the same.
"I heard everything"-Leah broke the silence-"I get why you're mad, but you said some awful things to Mama Panya."
"I don't want to talk about this"-Emmy drew her eyeliner a little violently-"Sorry."
"Just promise me that you'll think about it and work things out with her. And let's not forget about Carlos."
"They betrayed me, Leah. I'm going to need time"-Emmy stepped back-"Annd... you're done. You've got plenty of time till Logan arrives."
"Do you know what he's planning?"
"Even if I knew, I wouldn't tell you"-Emmy smiled mysteriously-"I'll go and find James."
"Emmy"-Leah grabbed her arm-"Don't do anything stupid, okay?"
"Am I a bitch for wanting to see Nicole's sad face?"-Emmy pouted-"When we met, she rubbed their relationship into my face, then I had to watch her and James being all romantic. I want her to suffer the way I did."
"You're unbelievably evil"-Leah shook her head, before Emmy left her alone.

About fifteen minutes later, Logan arrived with a boquet of flowers. After putting them into a vase, Leah took his hand and followed him to his car. The moment they departed, Leah asked the question she needed to get off her chest ever since Logan picked her up.

"Are you nervous?"
"Why would I be?"-Logan forced a laugh.
"I see right through you, Hortense. Tell me what is it"-Leah insisted.
"Nothing, I swear."
"You only laugh like this when you're nervous or lying... or both. I don't want you to feel pressured on our night out."
"I don't feel pressured. I just..."-he paused-"Okay, you're right. I'm just afraid that things won't go the way I planned, or that this night will take a negative turn."
"I told you about a million times, but I'll tell you again that you don't have to try so hard to impress me. You could even take me to the worst place in the world and I'd still have fun, because you'd be there with me"-Leah reassured him.
"Is the light red?"
"What?"
"I just have to do this"-Logan leaned over to kiss her. The driver behind them impatiently honked at them, so Logan introduced him to his middle finger.
"You should continue driving"-Leah chuckled.

Needless to say: the traffic was messy as usual, so by the time they reached the Hollywood sign, the sun had started to set.

"What do you think?"-Logan cleared his throat, seeing his frozen girlfriend.
"You brought me here again, just like a year ago"-Leah stepped to him-"Now I understand why I was having a sense of deja vu."
"Please tell me you like it"-Logan begged-"I brought a lot of food and I don't want to eat it alone."
"I love it, you silly"-Leah hugged him-"I'm just sad that I don't have my pencils with me... again."
"There won't be too much drawing tonight, anyway."

Leah looked up to Logan. There was something in his voice that rang the alarm bell inside her head, but this time, she ignored it. She was ready.

"I'm hungry"-that's all that left her mouth, and Logan immediately knew what she meant...
