"James Diamond, I'm going to fucking kill you!"-Emmy stormed into their bedroom, where James was casually looking at himself in the mirror-"Why the hell is there an ice statue in the middle of our living room?!"
"Well, you said it would be stupid to have the statue at our wedding, when it's going to be on the beach, but you never said I couldn't have it at home, so..."
"Are you out of your mind?! It's May and it's already really hot, and a floating living room is the last thing we need right now! We're getting married in two months, in case you forgot, and there's still a lot to do."
"I know, but I've been dreaming of that statue for so long"-James sighed-"If that makes you happy, I'll get rid of it. But first, take a picture of me standing in front of it."
"Ugh, fine"-Emmy rolled her eyes-"You're lucky I love you."
Emmy followed James into the living room, where the ridiculously enormous statue was situated. James posed with a satisfied look on his face, and even though Emmy was still mad at him, she couldn't help but laugh.
"You're an idiot. I don't even wanna know how much you paid for this."
"You don't have to worry about that, we're loaded"-James waved his hand-"Some might even say we have more money than God."
"Did you just quote from Seeds of Yesterday?"-Emmy blinked.
"Why not? That movie is a masterpiece."
"You star in it"-Emmy reminded him, shaking his head-"Egoist."
"Do you know how much energy it takes to be this egoist? I'm fucking exhausted"-James said-"Hold on, Logan's calling."
*Meanwhile*
"We're horrible parents"-Mama Panya stated-"We just made our three year old watch The Harley Davidson Story. I hope he's not going to have nightmares because of the sex scene."
"Sex scene"-RRRMM repeated, giggling.
"Fuck, now he's saying it out loud"-Carlos cursed.
"Fuck!"
"Carlos!"-Mama Panya scolded her boyfriend-"I told you not to curse around RRRMM. Now that's all he's going to say."
"Sorry, it just slipped out"-Carlos apologised, then grabbed his child-"Listen here, buddy. Mommy and Daddy used some bad words, but that doesn't mean you have to learn them, too. Okay? Just forget them."
"Fuck! Sex scene!"-was the child's answer.
"We fu... messed up"-Carlos leaned back on the sofa.
"We really did"-Mama Panya agreed-"But at least he's talking. This time last year, he was barely able to speak."
"He's growing up so fast"-Carlos wiped his eyes, then reached for his phone-"What's up, Logan?"
*Meanwhile*
"What do you mean you have to go?"-Savannah raised her voice-"Kendall, we're in the middle of a date!"
"Logan's just called that Leah's water broke, so I gotta go to the hospital now. I can't miss the birth of my best friends' children"-Kendall grabbed his jacket, then gave Savannah a peck on the lips-"I'll make it up to you somehow."
"I hope so. Tell them I said hi"-Savannah yelled after Kendall.
Kendall jumped into his car and drove to the hospital as fast as he could. When he arrived, he found everyone sitting in the waiting room.
"Any news?"
"Leah's really suffering and she doesn't want us to see her like this, so we'll wait here until she needs us"-Mama Panya enlightened him.
"And Logan's panicking"-Carlos added-"Just the typical pre-parental panic."
"The expert has spoken"-Kendall scoffed, sitting down.
"I just hope nothing goes wrong"-Emmy wrung her hands.
"Nothing will go wrong"-James reassured her-"Leah's strong like a rock, giving birth to two babies will be child's play for her."
"In the name of every women, I'm offended"-Mama Panya crossed her arms-"Men know nothing about giving birth."
"In the name of every men, I apologise"-Kendall tried calming her-"We really look up to you women for everything you do, but sometimes stupid things like these come out our mouth."
"You really are a knight"-Mama Panya looked at him in awe-"Take notes, Carlos."
"Woah, back the hell off! I don't need you to seduce another one of my best friends"-Emmy threatened her jokingly (?).
"Guys!"-Logan opened the door of Leah's room-"Leah wants to see you."
They all got up fast and entered the room.
"Hi"-she waved to them weakly.
"Hey sweetie, do you need anything?"-Mama Panya questioned.
"No, thanks. I just called you in to talk to you before... well, you know, I become a mother"-Leah chuckled-"The doctor said we can start soon, but I wanted a moment with you before everything changes."
"You sure you don't want us to stay with you?"-Carlos offered.
"It would be a bit too much for her"-Logan answered instead-"Plus I don't want you staring at my wife like a creep, while she's giving birth."
"Okay, we got the message"-Kendall raised his hand in defence-"I think we'll go soon, so you can be over it faster."
"You can do this, Leah"-James shot an encouraging smile at the girl-"Wanna touch my elbow for good luck?"
"Yes, please."
"Logan"-Emmy stepped to the guy, while Leah was living out her elbow fetish-"Promise me you won't panic too much, I know Leah's already terrified. For once, don't be a wimp, and try to stay calm. For her."
"I'm her husband, Emmy"-Logan's expression softened-"That's my job."
"Good"-Emmy patted his shoulder, then turned to the others-"Let's go, guys."
The friend group left the room, so Logan and Leah stayed alone again.
"Are you ready?"-Logan smiled at Leah excitedly.
"I was born ready"-Leah squeezed his hand.
"Then I'll call Dr. Sheffield in."
Hours and hours went by. Giving birth was very far from child's play, especially since Leah had to do this very painful procedure twice. Logan was there for her all along, motivating her the best he could, and Leah was very proud of him, knowing exactly how scared he was. But at the end of the day, every morning sickness and every pain was worth it, because they were holding their two beautiful babies and that's all that mattered.
"I can't believe we named our son after your art teacher"-Logan rocked his son-"But Steven does fit you, little one, so I won't complain."
"Sophie is named after a mathematician"-Leah pointed it out, stroking Sophie's hair-"But I like her name and she could be named Hypatia for all I care, because that wouldn't change the fact that I love her."
"We're the parents of two beautiful babies"-Logan said in disbelief-"This was my dream and we made it come true. Together."
Logan kissed Leah's forehead.
"I love you."
"I love you, too."
