"Ariel ! Open the door !" The loud banging on the wooden door made me want to cry as the voice begged.
I locked my crew members and poor Nathaniel back in the castle once again to stop them from following me, they seeped right through me plan and refused to leave me side all day long.
"I have read all kind of fairytales and love stories that exist in our worlds. The Prince always saves the Princess." I croaked out trying to hold back my tears at the sight of Nathaniels pleading eyes.
"Let me save you then. Let me be your Prince that saves you Ariel." I reached out my hand to hes through the little window on the door.
"Life is not a fairytale. Please forgive me." I turned and ran the other way, Nates voice shouted after me.
I jumped on Sirenas back as she lifted off the ground and we soared into the skies, heading straight for the Unknowns mountains. The night was dark and warm with the occasional cool breeze, the mountains peak entirely white.
But it wasent snow, it was simply white grass not snow. Nothing will suprise me anymore in this world really. Cracking of branches behind me made me snap around, looking for the source.
"Didnt think I'd leave you go alone now did you ?" That voice. I had completely forgotten about him being here.
"You know what my favourite fairytale was from my childhood ?" Death stepped closer out of the shadows, the dim light hoovering over hes angelic face.
"It was about a little girl who wished to marry and spend her whole life with the Dark Angel who she only saw good in. He brought fear and death to the world but for her, he was everything she ever wanted." My chest squeezed in with every word i spoke.
There was a flash of struggle in Death's eyes as i stepped closer only leaving little space between us. I searched through hes eyes and the emerald green light flashed many memories every one of them containing some trace of me.
Leaving myself go my hands traced up hes chest, resting on hes shoulders as i brought myself on my tiptoes. I could feel hes breath against my skin not breaking the gaze for a single moment, when my eyea fluttered close i felt the familiar burning sensation of hes touch.
My heart pounded against my chest but suddenly came to a stop when hes lips pressed against mine, hes arms tightly wrapping against my waist pulling me into hes chest.
"I should have never let you go." I had a unbelieveable strong connection with Nathaniel and could be almost called Love.
But no matter how much i tried it never compared to what i had towards Death, that desperate hate for him how he never returned my love and effection but the constant crave for hes presence and touch.
"Im sorry Alcaseus." With that he was pulled away from me, clasped inbetween Sirena's large claws.
I turned away painfully blocking out hes shouts and curses behind me, continueing my walk to the top mountain. The memory of last nights celebrations flooded my mind, a smile curling on my lips as the images flipped infront of my eyes.
"He was a real struggle. Begged to leave him come back you, he cares about you." Sirena gracefully landed by my side.
"This is my fight, they should not risk their own lives to save me." I stopped infront of her large head, placing my hand on her snout.
"Together my Princess."
