I lay under the silk blankets, listening to the crashing waves just ouside the ships walls the darkness covering my entire room. Slowly i untangled myself from Death's grip, strapping a gown around my body.
My feet met the cold grounds outside the cabin, stars hung brightly above me putting a smile on my face. Making my way to the large sleeping dragon, i felt her discomfort and tensed up body before it all dissolved under my touch.
We always knew what was the best for us and being apart for too long did not do well for us. Placing a kiss ontop of her rough head before making my way to the railing, admiring the sea life.
Huge, bright coloured fish swam with the flow of the ship the oceans waters showing off its true form. Coral reefs and billions of plants glowing with energy as i felt the pull on me. My white gown dropped to my feet before i slowly decended to the waters, already feeling energy entering my body.
Straight away i was greeted by other creatures and fish swimming by my tail that began glowing too from the energy. At night the underwater came to life and brightened everything, one of the reasons why i always loved sailing.
I spend hours exploring every inch, relaxing myself, leaving my body to be carried in reach of the ship while i lay on my back. My laughs filled the open ocean at sunset when a group of dragons swam by and the youngest slowed down and played with me.
He was not too much bigger than me a dusty pink colour, hes scales still soft and furry. Not every dragon is born with the contact of hes rider, some are born and grow slow and in that procces they search in their groups for their true riders.
This one visibly was still searching but was extremly friendly. He twirled by my side, leaving me latch onto him while we dived under water as he was catching hes breakfast.
I returned back on the ship when my members began appearing on deck, Death staring down at me with a smirk playing around hes featured. I felt the vibe of the castle being close, the reason why i changed into my royalty dresses.
Ice blue with silver and golden treads woven through the skirt and corset. I watched Alcaseus on the other end of the ship as i stood by the steering wheel, not taking notice a person appeared by my side.
I watched hes every move, every little change. The way hes eyes changed shades according to hes moods, hes broad shoulders and tall frame as he moved around the deck. Stopping infront of Sirena, hesitantly placing a hand ontop of her head.
"I sense a strange vibe of the two of you." Marcus's voice played in my ear as i dragged my gaze away from Death.
"You cannot let yourself fall for him, Ariel. We are close to the kingdom and he cant enter there." The words hit me like a tone of bricks.
I had forgotten about the safety lines surrounding the kingdoms headquarters. He cant pass through them, sure he passed the border line but this was different. My stomach turned and i rushed to the nearby railing, leaving the disgusting build up bile pass.
I closed my eyes in tiredness, replaying all the words in my head.
It's time to say goodbye.
Pain struck me as i gripped tighter on the wooden railing, taking deep breaths trying to calm everything i was feeling inside. I hadnt noticed the ringing in my ears before everything went quite until my shoulders started shaking.
"Ariel ! Snap out of it !" My eyes shot open to see half of the ship covered under ice, my arms burning in a bright flame and my hair raised from the air.
I glanced around at Marcus with a disapproving look and Death with worried eyes, holding my arms.
"Im fine. Please excuse me." I began walking but my feet wobbled under me and gave up as i stumbled to the side.
