A/N: This chapter won't have much dialogue bc I wanted to try something new ;-; Instead, Jasmine will describe some of what they're saying. By the way, Happy (late) New Year. I hope everyone enjoyed their time. This is UNEDITED so excuse any mistakes.
Jasmine.
I did my last minute check in the mirror before opening the door for August. He'd invited me out for dinner with Chris and Kay. Some weird idea they'd came up with about double dating for New Years Eve. I swung open the door to be welcomed with his smiling face. He stepped inside and wrapped his arms around me, kissing the side of my neck and picking me up off the ground. My feet dangled slightly before he placed me back down.
"Someone's happy." I said with a smile.
"Always." He emphasized then lightly pecked my lips.
I hummed then went to grab my coat off the rack. When I returned to the door August had a bouquet of white roses held out to me. I cooed then called Donovan down so he could put them in water and we could leave. It was 7:25 and we're supposed to be there by 7:30. Donovan rushed down the steps then took the roses off my hands. After saying my good byes, August and I were on our way to his car.
"Are we gonna have to listen to your album the ride there?" I asked, hoping this wouldn't be a repeat to the last time I was in the car with him. I know all the lyrics to each song on the album by heart now.
"Fine. We'll listen to Pandora." He huffed.
I chuckled then settled into my seat, grabbing a hold to the seatbelt. He pushed a few buttons on his radio before asking what station I'd like to listen to. We instantly agreed on Drake's Pandora station.
"Don't let Chris know we listened to him on the way here. He's still a little sensitive about that subject." August explained simply.
I nodded, saying okay. The music took a while to load before Stuck On Stupid began to play. I laughed lightly at August's unpleasant expression when it began to play. He complained on how Pandora decided to play an extremely old song. In my opinion it wasn't that old. Maybe a couple of years but that's it. I sung lowly along to the lyrics since it was one of my favorites. I noticed August glaring at me from the corner of my eye as we stopped at a red light. I asked him why'd he been staring at me because it made me feel slightly uncomfortable. He dragged his tongue across his bottom lip while rubbing his chin before answering.
"I didn't know you could sing." He said.
"There's a lot you don't know about me." I replied.
"Well that needs to change, doesn't it?" He said with a chuckle.
I nodded in agreement. "Well, Mr. Alsina, what would you like to know?"
"We gon' start off with what other hidden talents you got."
I sighed then began listing them off. I explained to him how I could act and I was actually in a movie, Cora Unashamed, but I died in the first fifteen minutes or so. It was a fun experience even though I was like six or seven. I told him that I'd also starred in Two and a Half Men playing Jake's girlfriend.
"Damn. I'd never watched either so I probably wouldn't have known but why wasn't it on your resumé?" He asked.
"Because that's not what I want to be known for right now." I answered honestly.
He nodded, understanding what I'd said. Truffle Butter by Nicki Minaj began to play. I turned the radio up, dancing in my seat slightly with a smile. August shook his head, saying no then next the song. I glared at him then crossed my arms and sat back in the seat.
