A/N: I'm not slanting the words anymore unless its like a thought or exaggeration of a word, but other than that, I'm not because it's beginning to irk me.
Jasmine.
August and I looked at each other in disgust. I was not expecting any of this. August's studio time is never like this--as far as I'm aware of. Trey's bodyguard tapped on his shoulder to receive his attention as he played with the soundboard, nodding his head to the beat that was playing. He turned to us and greeted us with a nod before waving us in. I shook my head while August gave me a nudge to move forward.
"You'll be 'ight." He whispered into my ear.
"August. Jasmine. My two favorite people. What's goin' on?" He smiled from ear to ear as everyone excited the room, leaving only us three, including his bodyguard.
"Remember our meeting?" August said after sitting in one of the rolling chairs.
"Oh. Right. What's the matter?" He asked, leaning against the soundboard and crossing his arms.
"You didn't ask me about working with Jasmine." He said then pulled me down into his lap and wrapped his arms around my waist.
I could feel my cheeks rise in heat as they changed into red. I don't know why I'm blushing like a school girl, but I'm in a happy state right now. My career is beginning to take off and August and I were on understandingly good terms.
"Man, I honestly thought I did, but I apologize. Is it okay if I take Jasmine as my dancer on tour?" He asked.
"No." August said simply.
The room grew quiet from his sudden change of my mind. I didn't bother to look at him because my face read dissapointment and despair. I had no intentions on making him feel bad for his decision. I tucked in my lips before August erupted in laughter.
"I'm kidding. Of course she can tour with you. Just take care of my baby." He said.
Trey smiled while nodding. "Good. Good. You know I'll make sure she's good and out of harms way."
I smiled while turning to face August before kissing his lips. He pecked my lips twice then tapped me to get up from his lap.
"Ight, Trey. We'll see you a little later." August said while grabbing my hand and leading us out of the door.
"Where we going?" I asked, turning my body to face him with a smile, allowing my one dimple to show.
"It's all on where you wanna go." He answered.
I tapped my cheek while twisting my lips to the side. "Let's just chill. We haven't had any quality time to ourselves. Since we are both off, why not spend it together?" I suggested.
"That sounds fair. Wanna go to the park? A rest--"
"In private." I interrupted his sentence.
"Oh. So you wanna get a room?" He asked in a surprised tone.
I nodded.
"Okay."
. . .
This hotel suite was huge. I walked straight toward the bed and fell onto it once we entered. The bed shifted as August climbed onto it beside me. He removed my loose curls from my face and stuffed them back underneath my hat. I smiled at him before smoothing the back of my hand along his cheekbones. He grabbed my waist and pulled me on top of him to where I was straddling his hips. I placed my hands on his chest, grasping his shirt in my hands and pulling on it for him to sit up. The only sound heard were my giggles and his faint chuckles.
