In our last part of the rant, we looked at battles, abilities, Deidara, Sasori, Hidan, Kakuzu, and Itachi. In this next part, we'll be looking at the true feelings and personalities of the Akatsuki, Kisame, Obito, Zetsu, Konan, and Pein. Here we go!
X | Akatsuki Personalities
Unless your story involves you joining the Akatsuki for shits and giggles, don't pull the BS that we see with some of these stories. The Akatsuki aren't a group of magical unicorns who raise young children to pull pranks and live in nice neat thematic bedrooms and never go on missions. NO! They're a group of mercenaries who get hired to gather information, do the deeds that Pein asks of them, and have almost no personal connections like family dinners or prancing or generally enjoying eachother. This is the kind of group that'll like you if you have a diversity in your abilities and an ass ton of KG, not because your breasts can't fit through the gates of Konoha, Mk?
6 | Kisame
There's only one recurring issue with Kisame. He's not "Uncle Fishstick" or some other terrible nickname. He's Kisame. He's not a prankster, he's a mercenary. He's not a gay for Itachi. He doesn't even love anyone. He's only gotten intimate with Samehada you know.
7 | Obito
ZOMG TOBI A GOOD BOY EVERYONE LIKE TOBI TOBI SO GOOD I LOVE TOBI TOBI A FINE FUCKER11111
Tobi is the reason the Akatsuki was put together and also the reason that the Akatsuki is not shits and giggles. No one can even touch him since the man has Kamui. Yet somehow he's just the idiot who no one knows the true identity of.
If you make Tobi, understand this. He's a psychopath and a bad guy, not a shits and giggles guy.
8 | Zetsu
... I know right? No one actually fucks up the personality of Zetsu. Only thing to note is that BZ usually answers WZ's questions because BZ is basically a part of Kaguya. I know when I wrote this in 2015, I said no spoilers, but it's been a year and a half, and the anime caught up with the manga.
9 | Konan
THIS WOMAN IS A PSYCHOTIC KILLER WHO HELPS KEEP THE AKATSUKI TOGETHER AND RELAYS NAGATOS MESSAGES! SHE IS NOT SOME GENERIC WHITE GIRL WHO'LL GO TO STARBUCKS WITH YOU, GIVE YOU FASHION ADVICE, AND GO "YAAAASSSSSSSSSS" EVERY 5 MINUTES!

He's a man controlling a puppet in the basement of his house. What more, kids? What more?
