A sharp scream reverberated in the faculty waking Taehyun from his slumber . Whispers and mumbling could be heard with thudding footsteps and Taehyun stomped outside his room to check what was the matter . The hospital staff was gathered around a door trying to break in. The door finally bursted open and those screams and cries became louder and clearer and Taehyun realised that they undoubtedly belonged to Beomgyu . Taehyun hustled through the crowd crashing against many bodies but not bothering to apologise . When he entered inside he was greeted with an unpleasant sight of a weeping Beomgyu standing in the corner of the room with a knife held firmly in his trembling hands . He was surrounded by some doctors but no one dared to come closer to the boy . Taehyun ogled horrifyingly at Beomgyu's now tattered clothes and hands stained with blood. He sprinted towards the boy without any hesitation but Beomgyu pointed the knife sharply at him and whispered , " Monster.....monster . No ..." " Beomgyu it's me Taehyun . There is no Monster here believe me . " Taehyun tried convincing a Beomgyu who shouted , " No you are lying . Monster was here , he attacked me . " Taehyun eyes widened when Beomgyu stumbled towards him knife tearing through the air but Taehyun dodged the attack on time and gripped both of Beomgyu's hand tightly , the knife slipping from his hand . Beomgyu shuddered in his hold but Taehyun maintained a firm grip on the boy trapping and caging him within his arms .
" Take the knife away and get out of here , I will handle my patient . Don't worry. " Taehyun instructed the staff members who skipped out of the room immediately . Beomgyu was screaming and wailing loudly so to calm the boy Taehyun mumbled softly ," Breathe Beomgyu .... everything is normal , you are fine I am here with you . Come on breathe . " Beomgyu visibly relaxed after sometime and he stopped resisting Taehyun's hold . He slumped back against Taehyun's chest and hid his face in the crook of other's neck . Taehyun felt the warm tears tripping down and wetting his shirt but he paid it no mind . They stayed in that position till the violent cries turned into faint whimpers and that was when Beomgyu slowly lifted his head and gazed at Taehyun who was staring back at him . Taehyun's eyes diverted to the other's bloody hands and he carefully lifted Beomgyu and placed him gently on his bed . Taehyun rummaged through the drawers till he found a first aid kit and bandaged Beomgyu's wounds who was lost somewhere in his own world and showed no motion of jerking his hand back or hissing in pain . After that Taehyun roused to his feet and sat next to Beomgyu on his bed .
Without sparing other a glance Beomgyu muttered softly , " He came ....the Monster came today when I was sleeping. He was there ...right there in front of me . I was so scared . Blood was smeared all around his face and ......" Beomgyu voice cracked by the end of the sentence and he broke into sobs again and Taehyun did the first thing that came to his mind .Taehyun engulfed Beomgyu in his arms who simply shuffled closer into his chest hugging Taehyun like a koala . " He did'nt came . Fairy was not there . Why ? " Beomgyu whined while Taehyun craddled him on his lap. " You should sleep now . " That was all Taehyun managed to say but Beomgyu declared , " I cannot . Not after I was just facing the Monster a few minutes back . " Taehyun's heart shattered on seeing Beomgyu in such a condition so he brought his hand and started caressing his fingers gently through other's black locks. Beomgyu stiffened for a minute but didn't make any move for pulling back and gradually leaned into the touch . He nuzzled closer into Taehyun chest and his eyes became heavier and heavier with each touch and he drifted slowly to sleep . Taehyun felt a warm tickling sensation just on his clavicle where Beomgyu breath was mingling with his skin . He thought of leaving but decided against it when even a single movement on his behalf resulted in a whiny moan escaping from the boy drowsing in his arms. So he placed his chin on top of the other's head and closed his eyes . The sweet , lavender scent lulled him to sleep .
Taehyun did not had his nightmare that night but he first time woke up with the blinding sunlight peeking through the gaps of pale blue curtains and soft snoring of someone beside him .
