Yellow and brown leaves crunched under his foot as he raced through the forest ,
The chilling winds brushed against Taehyun's cheeks as he ran ,
The scarlet sky looked spectacular ,
He didn't realise when a twig looped with his right foot ,
He crashed on the blanket of fallen stems and petals ,
A fit of giggles roared in the atmosphere .....
His heart skipped a beat when Beomgyu heard his door creaking open but he blamed it on his hallucinations and fluttered his eyelashes close . He tried sleeping but to no avail . His breaths started becoming more and more erratic and he swallowed the lump formed in his throat deliberately trying to control his growing anxiety . He felt some presence beside him and suddenly he flashed his eyelids open and shrieked in fear when he spotted a dark silhouette of someone . He raised his body and was about to scream at the top of his lungs when the figure emerged from the darkness and placed a hand over Beomgyu's mouth to prevent him from screaming while caging the boy with the other .
Beomgyu eyes widened on recognizing the person because it was none other than Taehyun . Taehyun was close to him , so close that he shuddered as Taehyun' swarm breath fanned over his lips . Taehyun glared pointedly at him and slowly removed his hand from the other's mouth and placed a finger on his own lips indicating him to be quiet . Beomgyu furrowed his eyebrows in ambiguity but he followed nonetheless and tried freeing himself from Taehyun's iron grip but the doctor held him firmly .
" Relax , I am here to clarify some questions . And I wish you to answer them without wasting my time . " Taehyun exclaimed seriously and Beomgyu's Adams apple bulged up and down in nervousness as he gingerly nodded his head . While staring straight into the glistening silver eyes Taehyun asked , " What was the bad dream you were telling me about ? " Beomgyu breath hitched as he gnawed at Taehyun who had maintained a stoic face .
Nostalgia filled his senses and crawled his body like a spider choking him . His face turned pale and he began hyperventilatingand he stuttered , " I won't ......I won't tell you anything . " Taehyun watched the boy shivering violently as he stammered some more inconvenient phrases and to calm the boy Taehyun cupped his cheeks tightly and forced Beomgyu to look at him .
" Hey ...It's alright . I am here . You are safe with me . " But Beomgyu refused vehemently to believe him and that's when the anxiety rushed and hit him at its full capacity . Warm tears escaped and dripped down Beomgyu's face and he muttered , " He ... He will come . Monster will come and he will hurt me again like he did in the dream . Taehyun you have to go otherwise he won't spare you . Leave ...."
Taehyun was pushed away hardly by thrombing hands and the force sent him tumbling to the floor and crashing his head against the marble flooring . Taehyun hissed and groaned in pain and clutched his forehead to subdue some pain when he felt something liquify oozing out and when he saw his hand it was tainted in a deep crimson , blood .
Taehyun thought to deal with the minor injury later and managed to stand up on his legs that still wobbled from the impact and he turned around to stumble towards Beomgyu again who was now standing maybe to run away . " Listen ......why don't you understand that fucking monster won't hurt you please tell...." He hauled in his sentence when he found Beomgyu to be staring at his head . His eyes were literally popped out and he came closer to Taehyun still monitoring his forehead .
Taehyun flinched when Beomgyu slowly grazed his fingers on the wound , staining his fingertips a bright red . Beomgyu retracted his fingers bringing them close to observe and after sometime he managed to whisper , " Blood ? ?" Taehyun wanted to sarcastically remark that it was possibly not some red wine dripping down his face but he got no time for that when Beomgyu slumped unconscious on him .
Taehyun discovered two unexpected things that day . First was that Beomgyu's dream was somehow related to Monster who was probably hurting him in to and Second was.......... " Hemophobia , your patient has phobia of blood that was the reason he fainted at the sight of your wound. This phobia happens due to a traumatic incident in the past . But don't worry Beomgyu is absolutely fine . He just needs some rest . "
Taehyun greeted the doctor with a smile mumbling a small thanks before the doctor left . Taehyun slouched on the chair exhaustingly and his landed on Beomgyu who was peacefully sleeping on the bed . His minds drifted back to what doctor had revealed just now . Taehyun had no information about Beomgyu's past and his records were useless in providing any sort of info . He could help linking Beomgyu's dream , hallucinations with that traumatic incident and their was only one way that could lead him to the boy's past , he have to find who admitted him in the faculty . It was not necessary that it has to be his parents , they could be any of his well - wishers .
Taehyun marched towards the reception and banged both his hands on the desk to gain receptionist attention who flinched and Taehyun impatiently blurted , " I want to know who admitted patient Choi Beomgyu here . It must be registered in 2013 data files . " The lady gawked suspiciously at him apologizing , " Sorry sir we cannot share ......" " I am Kang Taehyun his psychiatrist and this is very important so just do what you have been told . " Taehyun barked shutting the receptionist at once who typed furiously on her keyboard before she stated , " Sir their names are not mentioned but I can provide you their address . "
" Yes , sure " Taehyun exclaimed as she noted the address neatly on a blank paper and handed it to Taehyun who snatched it and read the address before his eyebrows shooted to his hairline as he was certainly not expecting this .
" Daegu Central Police Station , South Korea , " was messily scribbled on the sheet .
