Kang Taehyun , a renowned psychiatrist , who suffers everyday from his traumatic past has been assigned to a new patient , Choi Beomgyu who is said to have severe schizophrenia . Nobody was ever successful in treating Beomgyu which is a mystery for...
" Antidepressants , Sleeping pills , Anti-anxiety medications , scopolamine , antipsychotic drugs like abilify , reculti and saphris etc . Are there anymore ? I want the prescribed dosage of each of them given to Beomgyu . You can leave now . " Taehyun sternly stated to the nurse who gingerly placed the file on his desk and bowed before sprinting out of his office . Taehyun researched about all the medications for the whole remaining day and later found out that except the antipsychotic drugs the dosage of all the other medications usually increases during Beomgyu's panic episodes and something seemed off about this . He called Beomgyu in his cabin and after five minutes the door bursted open to reveal a bouncing Beomgyu who skipped to the chair while flashing his beautiful smile that displayed his pearly teeth making Taehyun grin.
He looked expectantly at Taehyun with his large eyes and chirped , " Taehyun you called me . Is there anything special. Oh are you going to give me a gift ? " Taehyun cooed internally at the other's cuteness but sadly he broke his high expectations by remarking , " No probably not gift but I called you to ask that do you remember telling me once you had secretly stopped taking all your medications . " Beomgyu smile faltered at once replaced with a grimace as he nodded his head . Taehyun felt bad for disappointing the other but he was ultimately doing everything for Beomgyu .
Taehyun leaned closer to the table like he is sharing a top secret and mumbled , " Ok I want you to tell me what exactly happened to you during those days , like what changed. Were there any side-effects ? " Beomgyu quirked his brows and stared at the ceiling as if trying thinking hard and then bluted , " I began dreaming different kinds of dreams apart from the Monster one and this is very rare . I day dreamed a lot and believe me it all felt so fucking real as if all those events have already happened in my life . Fairy , chocolate lady and Monster appeared lesser and lesser that time and I was so scared to lose Fairy . This was also the reason why I relapsed . "
Taehyun listened to each and every syllable attentively and questioned further , " Can you tell me some of your vivid daydreams . " Beomgyu hummed in approval and narrated , " One of them was that I was in a subway running around and an old , fat lady chasing after me as she barked some curses . I faintly remember her barking something about " my home in Daegu" and " you will stay with me " . I didn't liked that bitch . " Taehyun scoffed at the thought of her being his aunt who got her ass stuck in toilet seat . Beomgyu continued , " Another was me walking under scarlet sky during sunset and there was someone beside and I was talking to him . I couldn't see his face though . " Taehyun's breath hitched in his throat and he nervously gazed at Beomgyu who seemed completely oblivious to other's anxiety and muttered , " In one I saw police car's parked around me and one of the officers taking me with him
. In another one I saw a boy hunched at the corner of an alleyway completely soaked in water . It was raining heavily but he had no umbrella or rain coat , I stomped towards him and placed my umbrella over his head shading him from rain . But again I wasn't able to see his face , I wonder if it was the same boy from the sunset . " Taehyun glimpsed at Beomgyu who was lost in his memories and he fake coughed snapping Beomgyu out of his trance . One thing was totally sure that Beomgyu's memories revived when he didn't took his pills. This clearly means that those medications were either causing his memory loss or this could be even a side- effect of their high dosage . Whatever the reasons might be Taehyun wouldn't let Beomgyu take them ever again .
Taehyun with a stern face declared , " Stop taking those medicines . I believe they aren't necessary for you . " Beomgyu eyes widened in distress as he protested , " What are you saying ? They will throw me out of the faculty declaring me normal if I won't take them . And moreover I started hallucinating even more when I didn't take them . Please Taehyun don't force me . I cannot leave this faculty , I couldn't leave you . " Taehyun desperately wanted to tell him that those were not his hallucinations , even Monster was not an hallucination . Everything was real but he didn't possessed courage enough to do so . He shifted his eyes to the floor and rubbed his temples in frustration and without glancing at the boy he said , " Fine ......fucking eat them if they taste like candies to you . Atleast ask a nurse to deliver one bottle each of all your pille to me right now . You can go . "
Beomgyu sheepishly peeked through his lashes at Taehyun whose eyes were fixed on the desk and he stood up and sauntered towards the door but he halted in his steps to turn around and ask , " Taehyun are you angry with me ? " Taehyun snapped his head up at Beomgyu who was chewing his lower lip in nervousness as he waited for the answer. He smiled brightly at Beomgyu before replying , " I could never be angry at you . " Beomgyu lighted up immediately a smile creeping into his lips as he cheerfully leaped out of the room and Taehyun snickered heartily at his patient .
After that Taehyun researched about Beomgyu's pills on his laptop and found out that in fact a high dosage of antidepressants and Anxiety controlling pills can leave serious issues like memory loss . One of the nurses delivered all the medications later and now transparent bottles of different pills decorated Taehyun's desk as he monitored each one of them closely . Some of them were white and others were of pale yellow , orange and green colour. They were circular and cylindrical in shape . He took an picture of each of them and stomped out of his cabin .
Scorching sun shined in the sapphire sky which forced Taehyun to squint his eyes from the bright light . He marched towards the nearest market and paused only when he stood right in front of a local pharmacy shop . He entered inside and the pharmacist greeted him warmly asking if he could help . Taehyun flashed him a smile as he grabbed his phone from his back pocket scrolling through the device while asking , " Do you have vitamin and mineral tablets ? " The pharmacist said a big " Yes " and was about to look for them when Taehyun continued , " Of white , green , orange and yellow colour . " The shopkeeper was baffled and he inquired , " Are they any different than the normal ones ? "
" No no ....it's just that my patient prefers colourful ones . " Taehyun remarked slyly .
