Warning: smut! 18+ only

Let me know what you guys think about this kind of writing, I was totally debating writing it for the longest time. I always put my stories as mature because of trigger warnings but decided to do something different this time. As always, thanks for the love, support and reads x

I studied Jake as he poured himself a cup of coffee. It was unfair how handsome he looked in the morning. The sunlight peaked in through the blinds, begging us to open them and face its true glory. We weren't awake enough yet to be blinded by the sun, at least not until after coffee. I didn't have to worry about Jita since she left this morning along with Joy and Kenzi, saying something about work she was behind on. Sam, Danny, and Josh hadn't woken up yet and we were avoiding each other while unable to stay away from each other; it was a peculiar thing.

"Listen, I'm sorry for what I said yesterday. If it made you uncomfortable, I mean." He said, breaking the silence.

"It didn't." I said, plainly.

I tried my best to remain indifferent, not trying to create conflict between him and Josh, but I could tell he was hurting and I wanted to help.

"Jake, I--" I started, but was interrupted by Josh yawning loudly and entering the kitchen.

"Good morning, girlfriend and brother." He said, draping his arm around me.

I practically jumped. Jake looked at me with apologetic eyes and I just shrugged. I wasn't sure when we would have another moment alone to truly talk, since Josh never seemed to want to leave me alone. 2 hours later, the lot of us were piling into Josh's jeep, heading to the town's fair. It was Josh's and my first official outing as a fake couple and my nerves were getting the best of me. I had always found fairs to be romantic, in a small town sort of way. There was something that made love feel so exciting and promising--like a first love, high school romance.

"Ready?" Josh asks me, as we park in the gravel lot.

I nod, hopping out of the car, excited to enjoy the day.

I was surprised how calm it was, considering the boys had gotten a grammy for their double EP; I expected far more people to be coming up to us for autographs. It was mainly older guys and a few teen girls who asked for pictures. This allowed for a lot of time with Josh, which I was grateful for, don't get me wrong, but I would have loved to experience the romance with Jake. He had wondered off somewhere on his own, and Sam and Danny had gravitated to the double shot (A/N: its a tower you go up really slowly and then it drops you super fast-- actually terrifying).

"So darling, what will it be?" Josh asks, scanning the park.

"Rollercoaster?" I say, grinning from cheek to cheek.

Josh shook his head, no.

"Come on, Joshy, it'll be fun. I promise."

"What do I get out of it?" He asked, crossing his arms over his chest, pouting.

"You get a happy Freya...and I'll buy you funnel cakes after."

"Deal!" He said, dragging me along to the roller coaster.

The sun started to lean against the horizon, painting the sky a cotton candy color. My mind had been fogged from the heat, sweat beading my forehead. Josh and I, both exhausted from all the exhilarating rides and fair food, gravitated to the one place we could get away from it all--the ferris wheel. The lights had come on at the base, and illuminating it just enough to make it romantic. We were surrounded by couples, young enough to be in high school, using the ferris wheel as a cover to make hidden advances. Josh and I looked at each other and laughed. I knew I was emitting nervousness and I'm glad that he was picking up on that instead of using them as an example.
