(Author's Notes: This was requested by I hope I was able to bring to life what you had envisioned! I got stuck trying to search for things about the white gems and stuff. This has both elements from the movies and the books (I have gone through a lot of forums and blogs and wiki sites and even the book for information hnnghhh). So I changed some things, beware if you have only seen the movies, also I cannot for the life of me translate gems of pure starlight in Cebuano/Bisaya because my vocab is limited and I just... I can't even translate it well in Filipino. aghhh

"Bilbo, (Y/N), come with us," Kili said, beckoning you to follow him and his brother.

You and Bilbo exchanged looks before running off to let the brothers lead you. As you walked, the two of you started to feel quite anxious. The path they were leading you through was a path you both know well.

It was a path that led to the room where Bilbo met Smaug. The room where all the treasure of Erebor lay.

"Kili, why did you bring us here?" Bilbo asked, his voice on edge. The memories of trying to evade the dragon and the image of Thorin standing in the midst of all the jewels and gold with lust and greed in his eyes haunted him and brought a chill down his spine.

Before Fili or Kili could say anything, Bilbo quietly stepped and hid behind you. You raised your eyebrows but you didn't have to ask why. You have already seen all the gold in the huge room and standing in the middle of it all was Thorin.

The King turned to you with a curious expression and you sighed before saying, "Dragon. You. The Arkenstone."

He seemed to understand and Thorin quickly made his way up the stairs to meet you. Fili and Kili grinned before running away (probably to cause more trouble elsewhere). As you waved at them, Thorin finally reaches you and Bilbo.

Thorin gave Bilbo an apologetic look. "I apologize if this room brings...memories that are not so pleasant to remember," he said.

The hobbit quickly shook his head. "It is nothing. In fact, it is a story I will look forward to sharing to my family and friends! I was just... well, yes, a bit afraid to have you standing there. With piles of gold underneath your feet." Bilbo scrunched his nose. You find this mannerism quite endearing.

Chuckling, you placed a comforting hand on Bilbo and turned to the dwarf. "So may I ask what the reason is that we were brought here?" you asked.

"I remember Bilbo signing a contract where he shall receive his share if he joins this quest."

Bilbo frowned. "But I have forfeited my share, and glad I am to have done so for it will help the people of Laketown get back on their feet," he said.

Thorin's hand clasped Bilbo's arm firmly yet his eyes held fondness for his friend. "You have done so much and have proved yourself," said Thorin. "You deserve a reward. I will not let you go home empty-handed."

Bilbo refused but eventually he understood that Thorin would not let him step out of Erebor without any treasure. So he accepted the offer but only took two small chests of gold and silver. Thorin even wanted for him to take more than that but Bilbo gave profuse excuses.
