This is the last chapter. The next update would be the epilogue, which is Kaiser's POV. Thank you for being with me throughout this journey. At first, I wrote this to forget something that hurted me, but after realizing some things, it dawned to me that maybe the reason why I wrote this is to share the world that there are all kinds of love in this world, based on everything that I have seen so far. Please know that you deserve to feel those kinds of love. You are the author of your own story. Thank you very much for making it this far.
Please play the song above. It's the track for this chapter. Thank you!
Kabanata 42
Every Day
I was waken up by a very familiar voice in an unfamiliar bed. Unfamiliar room, in a day I don't even remember. I stared blankly at him.
He's still smiling as he sat on the edge of the bed I'm staying at. He held my hair and stroked the strands of it. Nanatili akong nakatingin sa kanya. Hindi ako ngumiti. Hindi ako gumalaw.
His smile widened, "Good Morning, wife," he said, lovingly. I gave him a small smile.
"Hmm, Morning," bati ko at humiga ulit. I heard him laugh.
"Still sleepy, love?" tanong niya at humiga sa tiyan ko.
Inisatinig ko ang namuong tanong sa isip ko, "Where are we again?" tanong ko at inilipat sa kanya ang tingin matapos kong pakatitigan ang kisame.
"We're in my family's house here in Bulacan. We stayed here because we'll meet Esunta later, then tomorrow, we'll go back to Manila," ngiti niya, "Now, get up so we can eat."
I stared at his hand before taking it. I'm feeling dizzy and sleepy but I followed my husband.
"What is Esunta?" I asked.
"Esunta is our group of friends, wife. Sina Ariadne, Vladimir, Tracy, Valerie, Dave, Herman, Keith, and Lauis.
There I saw a man and a woman who both looked like my husband. Beside the girl was a cute lady, with a curly hair. Sa tabi ay isang binatilyong naka-ngisi, proudly showing off his dimples. Sila siguro ang kapatid ng asawa ko.
Nahihiya akong ngumiti nang lingunin nila kami. Her mom, I think, smiled widely at me.
