Lately, I've been thinking about and looking for the engagement ring. I don't know if this is right or wrong. I don't if I should be looking so far into the future. I don't know if this even happens one day... But I know that I want this. I want to marry Diamond. I don't care how long I need to wait. I want to buy a ring for her already. I just wanna see Diamond next to me and no other woman. Her mom will leave for holidays soon and that will be a great chance to get to know Diamond better as a person I want to live with. I wanna see how it will go for both of us, living in one house together. No other people around. I'm really looking forward to this.
I quickly closed my journal. Lately, I forgot about this because Diamond really keeps my mind off of bad thoughts, doesn't let me get lost in myself. Since I had a free lesson I was searching for ideas and designs for the engagement ring.
"I never thought it would be this hard, Jesus." I exhaled and heard a knock on the door. I blinked when Simonne came in alone.
"Where's Diamond?" I got confused. She placed her backpack.
"Taking a shit probably. She went to the toilet." Simonne giggled. I squinted my eyes. Well, this is weird...
"Would you help me?" I asked looking back at the screen.
"Depends on what." she stood. I showed her to come closer.
"Listen, I've been looking for the engagement ring... I can't fucking decide which one." I said desperately. Simonne stood with opened mouth.
"Sir, it's not about the ring." she spoke with a smile.
"I know but I want it to be special when the time comes." I smiled giving her my phone to look. She still looked at me like I was stupid.
"You don't get it, right?" she exhaled. I sat confused. What does she mean??
"It's Diamond... She ain't with you for jewelry or pretty expensive gifts. You know she likes simple stuff. I don't think that ring matters, Sir. Ring is just a symbol, a reminder of commitment. Choose the one that your heart is more attracted to it and which one reminds you of love for Diamond. I know you didn't tell this to each other but you wouldn't think of marriage in the first place. I'm rooting for you, Sir. The question is... Will you really wait for Diamond? Are you that committed and full of love for my friend? I don't wanna see her crying because of you, because you did something bad to make her cry. I don't say she's perfect. No. She does stupid things too. She can hurt you too! We're all equal but knowing how Diamond tries to stay with a thick skin, even though she's a cry baby at heart. Think about it and choose, please." Simonne gave me a lecture not even looking at rings. Wow, now I know why she's Diamond's friend. They're similar. I smiled nodding.
"Wise words of Simonne." I giggled and she blushed frowning.
