My eyes slowly opened, squinting at the brightness of the sun. Wait-- sun?!
Where the hell am I? The last thing I remember is... my eyes widened. I quickly sat up and lifted the side of my shirt. No wound, no scar, no blood. Nothing.
I looked around me, trying to identify my surroundings. It appears to be a ship. How did I get here? My heart beat faster as I stood up, was I kidnapped? But that doesn't explain my fully healed wound. All around me were tough-looking men. Someone walked towards me, my hand instinctively reached behind my back for my sword but closed around thin air.
Where is my sword? I never go anywhere without it! That's when I noticed my outfit; it was a teal-coloured shirt that stopped right above my bellybutton, purple and black shorts with white lining at the bottom of it, a silver, metal belt and black combat boots along with a black backpack. My previously brown hair was now purple with some blue streaks in it and my hands were smaller than I remembered.
Okay, seriously, WHAT THE F*CK IS GOING ON?!
I looked up at the person approaching me to be met with a boy that had spiky black hair with green tips, innocent, bright brown eyes and a green outfit with a fishing rod. I recognized the boy, but how was this possible?
"Hi, I'm Gon Freecs!" He smiled brightly. I stared at him, wide-eyed. His smile faded and his eyes showed worry. "Are you okay?"
I composed myself and looked at the twelve-year-old boy expressionlessly. "Hm? Yeah, I'm fine, thank you." I replied. I'm not fine, nothing is fine. How the freaking hell am I in what seems to be the world of HunterxHunter?
His smile returned. "What's your name, if you don't mind me asking?"
I subtly pinched my arm. Ow, that hurt. So this isn't some kind of an extremely vivid dream. I internally started freaking out. I looked at Gon and answered, "Katerina. Katerina Pierce. Nice to meet you,"
"Nice to meet you, too, Katerina-san. You know, we better head inside, there is a storm coming."
So this is probably the ship taking us to the Hunter Exam. I nodded slightly and walked inside beside Gon. That was when I noticed some kind of bluish-white light around my body. Is this... aura? "Hey, uh, do you know where the restroom is?" I asked him urgently.
"It's right down that hall to the right," He pointed the direction. I quickly thanked him and ran there. I locked the door behind myself.
I stared at my reflection in the small dirty mirror and gasped. I look like a freaking twelve-year-old!
If I remember correctly, after I stabbed her, I was enveloped in a blinding white light before passing out from blood loss. Could that light have teleported me here somehow? I took a deep breath to calm myself down.
I sighed. First things first, I need to stop my flow of aura before I collapse from fatigue. I need to concentrate on keeping my aura inside my body. I closed my eyes, visualizing my aura flowing like blood through my veins then visualized it ebbing and hovering around me. I could feel it calming down and shrouding my body. I smiled to myself in victory. I did it.
Looks like my aura nodes are already open, somehow. Keeping my aura from leaking away from my body felt as easy as breathing, it was as if my body was used to doing it.
I didn't know what to do. Should I look for a way to get back to the real world, or should I just stay here and start a new life? Even if I found a way to go back, what would I be going back to? If the police found out what I did, I'd be arrested this time because it was probably my seventh kill. Besides, why would I ever want to go back?
