I glanced at my dad, who looked calm as always. Leorio glanced at the side-mirror to check for anyone following us. "We'll be fine. A number of the enemies were injured, so they'll stay put until backup arrives." Kurapika then sent Chrollo, who was staring at him, a nasty look, "What're you looking at?"

"Nothing. I just didn't expect the Chain User to be a woman," I resisted the urge to laugh at this, and opted on raising an eyebrow at dad as he faced forwards again.

Kurapika responded while removing his wig, "Who said I was? I thought you knew better than to trust appearances. Regardless, you should watch what you say, since it may well be the last thing to come out of your mouth."

That sentence got me thinking. How would I feel if Chrollo were to die? Would it affect me, or would it not matter? Would I get blinded by rage and desire for revenge again, or would I not reflect on it twice?

No. I may have only personally known him for a short amount of time, but he was still my father, and a part of me loved him unconditionally; the part that yearned for an actual family. The logical part of me said that caring whether he survived or not was somewhat foolish, but I couldn't help it. Chrollo Lucilfer is a wanted criminal, a cold-blooded mass murderer, a thief that cares for no one outside of the Phantom Troupe --and apparently me, as well-- but that the same time, he was my dad, my family, my flesh and blood. I could never let him die.

As for the rest of the Spiders, I didn't really know what to think. They're like family to dad, and they haven't tried to harm me since we first met. Given, they did kidnap me, but that was what lead me to learning the truth about myself. I honestly didn't hate them, you could go as far as to say I liked them. Right then and there, I decided to do something and trust a Spider, a choice that I may or may not regret.

I was pulled out of my thoughts when Leorio pulled up at the airport and Kurapika was talking to the Troupe on the phone. "I'm going to make sure that Pakunoda comes alone, I'll be back soon."

"Huh? Wait! What if they capture you again?!" Leorio looked at me in worry and alarm.

"He's right. We can't risk them having yet another hostage, Katerina." Kurapika nodded. Chrollo was looking at me curiously, wondering what I had in mind.

"The only reason they captured me in the first place was because I was up against three of them when I saved Squala. I'll stay out of sight, don't worry. Besides, Pakunoda is injured, she can't do much against me right now."

I focused my Ren under me and jumped high, Conjuring my ice wings and manipulating the winds. "Her ability sure is impressive," I heard someone say from below, not sure who it was, though.

I flew out of their range of vision and sighed. I removed my bracelet, putting it in my pocket. As I was gliding through the night sky, my phone started vibrating so I fished it out and landed on the roof of the nearest building.

Mitsuba? But she called me this morning, she doesn't call me more than twice a week, much less in the same day.

Me: Mitsu? Is everything okay?

Mitsuba: Yeah, yeah. I just, uh... I just saw someone who looks exactly like you, only shorter and with red eyes instead of blue. Do you have a twin that I don't know about or something?

Me: Are you sure that girl looks like me?

Mitsuba: Yes. What is it? Do you know her?

Me: I know of her. Look, I'm kinda in the middle of something right now, but I want you to talk to her, help her with her Nen; she should be every bit as powerful as me but might have trouble controlling it. I'll try and come as soon as possible.
