As it turned out, my credit card had a total of five hundred thousand jennies, which was a lot, but we'd be needing as much money as we can for the auction.
Right now, Killua, Gon and I were standing in line to register into the Heaven's Arena tournament.
"This is a really long line. Is everyone going to Heaven's Arena?" Gon breathed out, looking around him in amazement. Killua explained to him the Arena's system and all that until we finally reached the front.
I filled out the required form and was given the number 2053 and the three of us entered the crowded area where the first-floor matches took place. The cheering was so loud that it made me wince.
We found empty seats and plopped down. "It's been a while, but this place hasn't changed." Killua sighed, smiling nostalgically.
"Wait, you've been here before?" Gon asked him.
"Yeah, when I was about six. My dad left me here without a penny. Told me to reach the 200th floor, took me two years."
"I can clearly imagine your father doing that," I laughed but stopped when my number was called. "Oi, hold my bag for me, will you?"
I handed my black backpack to Killua before running down the stairs and into the rink. I could clearly hear people jeering and mocking me, "It's a little girl. Does she wanna die?" "Go home!" and so on.
I smirked internally but kept up an emotionless mask with my hands in my pockets as my opponent stood in front of me. He was a tall man with a lot of muscles, but he was way too weak for me.
"Huh? My first opponent is a little girl? I suggest you surrender if you value your life," He mocked, putting a hand over his heart dramatically. "You're not leaving? Well, good luck."
"You'er the one who needs it," I muttered rolling my eyes. I debated about how I should beat him. Killua will be doing with a chop to the neck, Gon will be pushing, while Zushi with his punches. Guess I'll just use a kick as my signature move here.
"This is a first floor fight, so we will be appraising your skill level. You're allowed three minutes to demonstrate what you're capable of. Now then... Begin!" The referee announced, moving back and allowing us to start the fight.
I moved from my place, gave my opponent a kick to the stomach, and returned to my original place. It all happened within two seconds and the man fell to the ground, twitching. The referee stood in his place, trying to process what happened. Shock whispers came from the crowd.
"2053, you can go to floor 50." I took the ticket, muttering a thank you, and walked back to my seat, passing Gon on the way. I gave him a smile and sat down.
"Good job," Killua patted my shoulder, "Though you didn't actually hit him hard, did you?"
"Barely used 5% of my strength," I bragged. We looked at each other then burst out laughing. I saw Gon pushing his opponent, winning his match easily. Then it was Killua's turn; he won with a single chop. I saw Zushi win out of the corner of my eye.
I headed towards the elevators with the other two, Zushi behind us.
"The first 200 floors of Heaven's Arena are divided into classes, ten floors each. Which means that a fighter..." The woman in the elevator started explaining, but I knew all that unnecessary information and blocked her out until Killua nudged my side.
"And this idiot is Katerina,"
"Who are you calling an idiot, Snowman?" I growled, glaring at him.
"Hey! Don't call me that!"
"Then don't call me an idiot, Snowman!"
We glared at each other till the elevator stopped and we walked out. "I watched your fights earlier, you guys were amazing!" Zushi broke the tension between us.
