*Juliet's pov*

"Please don't tell me she's actually coming." Hayes said.

We were in the kitchen, eating breakfast.

"Hayes, she called me last night saying she's on her way. I can't stop her." I said.

"Yeah you can! Just say, 'no sorry. You're not welcome at the Grier's house.'" He said, imitating my voice.

"Do I really sound like that?" I asked.

"That's not the point, Juliet. I don't want her here." He said.

"Come on Hayes. It's only for one night, maybe a few days. Please?" I pouted.

He sighed, and he came over to kiss me on the lips soft and sweetly.

"Okay. I'll do it for you." He said, and I smiled.

"She'll be here soon. She said her flight left at 2 in the morning." I said.

The doorbell rang, and Hayes huffed.

"If that's her, I'm not answering." He said. I rolled my eyes and got up to answer it. He went to the living room to watch TV.

"Don't be such a stubborn ex-boyfriend." I said, and he rolled his eyes.

I opened the door, and Lesley stood there. She had a suitcase in one hand and her other hand was holding her backpack. Her eyes were red and blotchy.

"Hey, are you okay?" I asked, and she pulled me into a hug.

"Yeah. I'll be fine." She said.

She walked inside and dropped her things next to Hayes.

"Hey, Hayes." She said, he just waved.

"So, how long do you need to stay?" I asked.

"Just for one night. Then I'll be heading to New York and starting high school." She sighed.

I could've sworn I saw Hayes cheer from the other room.

"Okay. Do you want to talk about it?" I asked.

"Not really. I mean, he only broke up with me so that I can have a successful life and be happy. But I don't think he realizes that I won't be happy without him." She said.

"He thinks that he's going to ruin your life, but I don't think that at all." I said.

"Yeah. I don't know what to do." She sighed.

"You should call him, and tell him you're somewhere safe. He called me and told me he was worried where you were." I said.

"I'll do that later. I haven't gotten any sleep so I'm going to take a nap." She laughed.

"Okay. We have school so I'll see you later." I said, and I hugged her. She hugged back and we exchanged our goodbyes.

Hayes and I walked out of the door and went to the bus stop.

"Satisfied? She only has to stay for one night." I said, and he grabbed my hand.

"I'm more than satisfied." He smiled.

"She can stay in my room. I sleep in your room anyways." I said, and he chuckled.

"Yeah. Okay." He said, as the bus pulled up in front of us.

We entered the bus and went to our usual seats. I took out my earbuds and phone to play some music. Hayes grabbed one earbud and listened to my music with me.

We got to school in no time, and we exited the bus.

I went to my locker, and he went to his. Liam was at the locker beside mine, and I rolled my eyes.
