Juliet's POV
"It's deep. I feel it in my bones."
His voice, it played over and over in my head.
Sometimes I feel like he does these things on purpose- winning my heart back so that he can break it again.
Not this time. I don't want to cave in that easily. He isn't going to win.
I threw my phone on my bed, so that I couldn't break it. But, I felt like I needed to break something.
I stared at my wall, and kicked my foot into it. Shocking pain ran up my leg, but it felt good to get my anger out.
"Juliet? What was that?" Ashley yelled from downstairs.
"Uh..nothing." I yelled back, as I figured out a way to cover the hole.
I pushed my dresser in front of it, hoping that I wasn't making too much noise.
Hayes brings out the worst in me, which is the total opposite of what you should do when you're in a relationship.
I've never kicked a wall before, I never ran away before I met him, I never had to go this far in order to get away from someone.
I sat on the edge of my bed, and grabbed my phone. Wondering what I should do with it.
I go on to Twitter, nothing new ever happens on there.
When I was done with it, I closed it, and went back to the phone app to replay his voicemail. Over, and over again.
I jumped when my phone started to ring. I looked at the caller ID, and it was Lesley.
"Hello?" I answered, and I heard Lesley sigh.
"I'm so glad to hear your voice." She laughed, and for some reason, so did I.
"Me too. I missed you, Les." I said.
"Listen, I needed to ask for your opinion. I'm in California. I went to talk to Matt, and you won't believe what happened." She said.
"What?"
"He cried hysterically, like crying was the only thing he could do. I felt bad for him, Juliet...then...I, uh...I realized that I still love him." She whispered the last part.
"You do?" I asked.
"Yeah. It's crazy, right? How can I still love him? But, I was comforting him as he cried- which made me start crying." She sighed.
"And then what?" I asked.
"Well, we kind of got back together. He felt horrible for the way he treated you, for the awful friend he was being. So, I needed to ask you if you're willing to forgive him?" She asked.
I sighed heavily. There was so much he did that ruined me, and ruined my relationship. At the same time, he helped me through everything, even when Hayes wasn't there for me.
"Juliet? Are you still there?" Lesley snapped me out of my thoughts.
"Yeah, I'm here." I answered.
"It's okay if you don't want to answer me. I know-"
"No. I want to forgive him." I interrupted.
"Okay." She said softly. "I'll let him know."

Hayes's POV
"Flight number 472. Boston, Massachusetts to Los Angeles, California, now boarding." The loud speaker said.
I got up from where I was sitting, and boarded the flight.
I waited in line, and stared at Juliet on my phone. She was my lock screen, making a funny face.
Some part of me doubted myself for even coming to see her.
The line started to move up, and I made it into the airplane. I shoved my phone back into my pocket.
I put my backpack in the shelf on top of my seat. I had a seat next to the window, so I stared outside until the pilot started to talk, and the plane started moving.
//
"Baby two-k! What's up?" Jack Johnson greeted me. Cam and Nash were also there to pick me up from the airport.
"Nothing." I shrugged.
"What are you doing here, little bro? I actually got worried when you said you need me to pick you up." Nash laughed.
We got into the car that Cam was driving, and he started it.
"Well, I'm kind of here for Juliet." I said, and everyone was silent.
It was silent for a while, even when Cam started driving.
"Hayes, how do you even know she's here?" Jack asked.
"Why wouldn't she be here? She wasn't in New York, or North Carolina, this is the only place she'd be." I answered.
"And you're sure about this?" Cam asked, staring at me from the rear view mirror.
"Yeah." I sighed. "I'm sure of it."
"So, you want me to drop you off at Ashley's?" Cam asked. All eyes were on me.
I looked outside. The sun was slowly setting.
"Yeah." I answered. Cam nodded and he started to drive to her house.
Ashley's house was near the Malibu beach. I watched the sunset as we drove. Cam and Nash were singing obnoxiously in the front, giving me a headache.
My hands were shaking, and my breathing became faster and faster by the second.
Jack patted my back.
"It's okay. Everything will work out." He assured me.
Everyone keeps saying that to me, but it never does. Nothing ever works out for me.
The car suddenly stopped, and then I realized that we were in front of Ashley's house.
"Are you ready bro? Do you want us to wait outside?" Nash asked.
"Yeah, I'll be back." I said, as I exited the car, and walked up to the front door.
I was going to knock, but the door was already open a crack.
I fully opened it. I saw Juliet, but she wasn't alone.
Her arms were wrapped tightly around Matt, but her back was to me. Matt was embraced her. His eyes were closed and he was smiling.
I knew it was a mistake coming here.
