MOMENT 16: My Foundation

69 18 8

My foundation is the LORD!
But self,
Why are you being shaken?

Yet now be strong, O Zerubbabel, declares the LORD. Be strong, O Joshua, son of Jehozadak, the high priest. Be strong, all you people of the land, declares the LORD. Work, for I am with you, declares the LORD of hosts,

according to the covenant that I made with you when you came out of Egypt. My Spirit remains in your midst. Fear not.

For thus says the LORD of hosts: Yet once more, in a little while, I will shake the heavens and the earth and the sea and the dry land.

And I will shake all nations, so that the treasures of all nations shall come in, and I will fill this house with glory, says the LORD of hosts.

The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, declares the LORD of hosts.
-Haggai 2:4-8

I'm sorry to say but the truth is: You are SHAKABLE. God has proven through His Words that everything and everyone He made are shakable. Because only God is unshakable.

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever. -Hebrews 13:8

This is why from the very beginning and for 365 times in the Bible, God is encouraging us to be strong!

And your assurance is His promise: My Spirit remains in your midst (verse 5)

Reasons why you are being shaken:

1. To reveal what you treasure.

God already knows the things you treasure in your heart and the things you treasure in your life. But He also wants you to know what ypu treasure within you.

2. For your treasures to be surrendered to Him.

Why does God mentioned in verse 8 that silver is His and gold is His? In this world, silver and gold have the most high price, very valuable, expensive, a great treasure that anyone could have!

Question: What person or things do you consider as your silver or gold?

Is it your dreams?
Your family?
Your studies?
Your friends?
Your church?

God will shake that! So you shouk give it all to Him until Only Him will you consider as the gold or silver in your life.

God longs to be the most important and the most valuable persob in your life.

3. For your life to be filled with His glory.

God considers your body as His temoke and there is nothing He desires for you but to be filled with His overflowing glory--- so that, through your life He could made known to people who don't know Him yet. That through your life, he could be praised and glorified. So that He could be known as the Lord and Savior of all.

Shalom!
Glory to God alone :)
