Part of loving is TRUSTING.
You cannot love the one you cannot trust.
And you cannot trust the one you that do not love.So if you LOVE God, you should TRUST Him.
Isaiah 26:3-4 The Lord gives perfect peace to those whose faith is firm. So always trust the Lord because he is forever our mighty rock.
In the midst of trials, battles, struggles, tears... If we don't have PEACE then our faith in the Lord isn't firm.
It is clearly stated in the Word of God: He gives perfect peace to those people whose faith is strong, unshakeable and firm in the Lord. So, for those who doesn't have this firm faith or still wavering with their belief in God, then they are those who doesn't have peace. John 14:27 says Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you, I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
You will encounter people who are constantly worrying about their problems. They keep thinking about how to resolve them, unable to find peace even in their sleep. This happens because they lack sufficient trust in the Lord. Why? Because they don't really know who the Lord is. The One who can make impossible things possible. The One who is Greater than any other things.
Remember: You will only trust someone you that you know.
Do you really know the Lord? And if you know who He is, then it will no longer be hard for you to trust Him.
How to make your faith firm in the Lord? You have to T.R.U.S.T.
T- Talk to God through Prayer
Prayer allows you to talk to God! Prayer expresses your trust in God! When you trust someone, you are willing to share your thoughts and feelings without hesitation. You are sharing your problems to the one you trust, to the one you are close to.
The same way with God, if you trust Him, you are willing to share your anything to Him. 1 Timothy 2:8 says, I will therefore that men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting. The time you spend on worrying and thinking negative things must be shifted into spending time to pray.
To worry is a waste of time. This is a foolish thing to do. But to PRAY is the wisest thing to do.
R- Rest in His Presence
In God's Presence, there is life! There is hope! There is mercy! In the Presence of God, we will find everything we need. This is the reason why we should not miss attending Worship Service. Because Sabbath is made for us to rest in His Presence. Exodus 31:14-15 says, Keep the Sabbath holy. You have six days to do your work but Sabbath is mine, and it must remain a day of rest.
There is also a personal rest which is experience between you and God alone. And this rest is offered by Jesus. Matthew 11:28-30 says, Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.
When Jesus says "come", He meant for you to come to Him as you are. Come to Him when you are burdened. Come to Him when you feel down. Come to Him without cover. This expresses the desire and compassionate heart of the Lord. To come to Him is a relief from oppression. This is a call to turn and rely on Him completely.
U- Utilize God's Words in your life
Utilize means to make use of. God doesn't care about our brain with stock information (of His Word), but He cares for your application. 3 John 1:4 says, Nothing brings me greater happiness than to hear that my children are obeying the truth. Part of trusting God is to obey what He say for you to do. Because everything that He says is meant to do and it is all for your own good.
The passage emphasizes the importance of applying God's Word in our daily lives rather than merely accumulating knowledge about it. The word utilize means to actively use something, and in this context, it refers to putting God's teachings into practice.
The reference to 3 John 1:4 underscores that God is pleased when His children not only know His truth but live by it. This brings Him joy because obedience reflects trust and faith in His wisdom and love. Trusting God involves acting on His guidance, knowing that everything He instructs us to do is for our benefit and well-being. Simply storing up biblical knowledge without applying it misses the point of faith and spiritual growth.
S- Surrender every cares and concerns to Him
Every means "ALL POSSIBLE." It means COMPLETE. The word every is used to highlight the need for total surrender—offering God control over all areas of your life without holding anything back. To apply faith in this context means trusting God completely, believing that His plans and guidance are superior to our own.
When you surrender to God, surrender ALL POSSIBLE AREA OF YOURS. Don't leave anything. James 4:7 says, Surrender to God. Resist the devil, and he will run from you. The verse is instructing believers to surrender to God, which involves allowing Him to reign in their lives fully. This surrender is paired with resisting the devil, symbolizing doubts, fears, unbelief, and lies. These negative influences can weaken faith and must be actively resisted through trust in God and reliance on His Word.
Surrender means letting God reign in you! It means not just acknowledging His authority but allowing His will to shape your decisions, actions, and thoughts. It reflects a deep, active faith that invites God's power and presence to overcome the spiritual battles in your life.
T- Testify your battle to inspire others
Even Jesus testify His trouble to His disciples. How much more when it comes to you? John 12:27 says, "Now I am deeply troubled, and I don't know what to say. But I must not ask my Father to keep me from this time of suffering. In fact, I came into the world to suffer..
Jesus showed a good example of transparency. Did you know that Jesus openly shared His struggles, such as when He expressed sorrow and anguish before His crucifixion (Matthew 26:37-39)? Faith involves emulating this transparency, trusting that God and others will support you in your weakness.
Remember that when you speak about your troubles, you doubts, your battles, you will feel something being released from you, and you will feel strengthen! When you confess your problems, it is an act of faith that acknowledges your need for God's help (1 John 1:9). This transparency allows God's grace to work in your heart, bringing healing and renewed strength.
This works on both sides. When you testify or open up to others, you release a burden within you and be strengthened while others who are listening catches points to apply on their life and feel inspired and blessed. Testifying while in the midst of battle is Biblical illustrated by Jesus Christ.
Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.
