MOMENT 17: The Power of Worship

Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. And he said to him, "All these I will give to you, if you will fall down and worship me." Then Jesus said to him, "Be gone Satan! For ot is written, "You shall worship the Lord your God and him only shall you serve." -Matthew 4:8-10

There is something in worship that even the devil craves for it.

The devil is God's enemy and your enemy as well. He is the one who claims the glory that is for God alone, which makes him an enemy of God.

Anyone who claims the Glory that is for God becomes His enemy.

Remember that the enemy comes only to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10) and until he isn't finish with his purpose, he will never stop bothering you.

Again and again, the devil will bring you into great problems in which the high mountains represents in the main verse.

But above all the problems in the world, the greatest is: Making you like the enemy--- who craves for the glory, who loves worldly things.more than God. Remember that these things made Satan fall!

How you are fallen from heaven, O Day Star, son of Dawn! How you are cut down to the ground, you who laid the nations low!

You said in your heart, I will ascend to heaven; above the stars of God I will set my throne on high; I will sit on the mount of assembly in the far reaches of the north;

I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.

But you are brought down to Sheol, to the far reaches of the pit. -Isaiah 14:12-14

Satan is the Day say, son of the dawn in here. He was the Worship Leader in the Kingdom of God before. He has the highest position among all angels of God. But God throw him out of the heaven because of his greediness and the desire to be even more that God.

In everyday of your life, the devil will find spots for you to see thay the world will satisfy you--- making you wanted to have it greedily.

But, you must stay in track! Don't forget your real purpose in Christ.

The greatest tragedy in lofe is living without purpose, as Rick Warren stated in his book. That is dangerous! Most peopls nowadays, trade God for the world without noticing that they alrwasy worshiping the devil. Because anything that doesn't glorify God, glorifies the devil. Whom do you glorify?

Doing what pleases God is worshiping God but Doing what pleases the devil is worshipong the devil.
Which are you here?

We must be the one who guards our actions for if we are unconcious of what we are doong, it tends to lead us in a wrong path!

When: you feel loke you have that desire for earthly things and the devil tries to make you fall into his temptations.. Do what has Jesus did! Rebuke the devil!

Luke 10:19 I have given you the power to trample on snakes and scorpions and to defeat the power of your enemy Satan. Nothing can harm you

As God has given you the Holy Spirit when you accepted Him, you have also received the power to rebuke and cast out the devil! Most especially, use the Word of God as your weapon just like what Jesus did as well. He kept on saying "It is written." He used the Word of God for enemy attacks.

The Word of God is constant and powerful! It is alive and active! It is most effective than any other because the Word of God is the Powerful God Himself!

Deuteronomy 32:47 The law isn't empty words...

That's why it is so imperative to read, meditate and draw yourself in the Word of God everyday

Leaning in the Word of God is also a form of Worship. Just by this, you already defeated the enemy's temptation! The enemy will always temp you not to know the truth in the Word of God, but you disappoint him by not doing it so.

Remember: The more you are occupied with God's Words, the less you fall into the temptation of the enemy.

It doesn't mean that when you are most dwelled in the Word of God, there will be less temptation.. Actually, this is the time when you are more tempted.

But God said in 1 Corinthians 10:13, No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.

The more you know, the more you are responsible to apply it in your life.

Dear Jesus,
Truly that you have live a life here on earth to give us a great example on how to live. Thank you for giving us a power to trample down the enemy. We humble down ourselves before you so you might increase in us. You alone deserves to be worshiped.
We ask for your anointing and for your Holy Spirit to overshadow us especially when temptations comes to make us fall down.
Help us to remember you word in everything that we will do and in every where we will go.
Thank You Lord. This is our prayer, in Jesus' Almighty Name. Amen.
