(Her uniform, basically what she wears when on field mission but not the official uniform of SIA.)
February 22, 2017; Bangtan's van
"I sent the cellphone number that was used to send that picture to the SIA so they can track the number but unfortunately, the number was already deactivated. Our tracker tried to do everything but they couldn't trace it, their intuition is that the sender already destroy it after sending the message." Eun Byeol informed the manager who's currently driving the van. Their on their way to Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium where the 6th Gaon Awards will be held. BTS was nominated for two awards; the Artist of the Year and V LIVE global popularity award.
The boys are happy but they couldn't take the death threat out of their mind.
"So there's really no way that we could track the sender?" Manager Sejin asks.
"Unfortunately yes," Eun Byeol answered before she look up to the rear view mirror so she could see the bangtan at the back before assuring, "All you have to do is to perform and act as if nothing happens. You might not see me beside you but I can assure that I will protect all of you. Be vigilant especially to the foods they serve. Some of the cases I've encountered is food poisoning because it's the easiest and most discreet way of killing their victim."
"How can you protect us then if you're not going with us?" Namjoon voiced out the only question running on their minds that time.
"I put cameras around the whole venue, the hallways, possible entrances and exits, the stage, backstage and where you're going to seat for the whole event. Securities are all over the place and all your movements are monitored. And before anything, I have something for all of you," Eun Byeol stated, grabbing her backpack. She hand each boys a velvety black box, at the middle of the front lid engraved the SIA Crest in gold foil.
The members open the box simultaneously, their brows furrowing in unison when they saw a metal bracelet, similar design to Cartier's famous bracelet in silver. The round metal was shining when the light hits.
"A bracelet?" Jin asks.
"Is this your way of confessing your love to me?" Jimin asserted, winking at Eun Byeol who look at him emotionless.
"Pabo! Why would you think that she's confessing to you?" Taehyung hissed.
"It looks just like the couple Cartier bracelet," the former shrug, "And who wouldn't fall for me?"
"Does that mean she's also confessing to us because genius, didn't you see that she gave all seven of us?" Jungkook sassed.
Eun Byeol, having enough of their bickering butted in, "It's not an ordinary bracelet. That's a tracker. See that small diamond at the middle?" The boys nodded, eyeing the bracelet in intrigue and curiosity.
"Is it real?" Yoongi asks.
"Unfortunately no, it's actually a button that once you press it, it will going to send distress signal and your exact location to my phone. Kind of like the amber alert on America where they send an alert when a kid got kidnapped."
The members look confused because some of the english words she had said were foreign on their ear. Namjoon was quick to translate it to the members.
"Wow, I never heard of anything like this." Hoseok mused.
"It's because only agents from SIA can give it to their subject. Now, whatever happens, don't ever remove it." Eun Byeol reminded them, urging them to wear the bracelets which the boys oblige. Series of faint clicks from the lock echoes Eun Byeol's sensitive ears.
"Why are you smirking?" Jungkook asks when he saw Eun Byeol's lips turn into a smirk from the rear view mirror.
"It's not as if you can remove it by yourself." Eun Byeol's answer was vagued so it confuses the members more.
"What do you mean?" This time, it's Jin's turn to ask.
"The bracelets," Eun Byeol started, "Only the giver can unlock the bracelet by using a special key for safety purposes so expect that you will be wearing it until I finish my mission."
"What? So you mean we are going to take a bath with this? Wh-what if it has camera?" Hoseok's expression turn into pure horror when he imagine himself taking a bath, stark naked then Eun Byeol laughing like a maniac as she watches him take a bath.
"No," Eun Byeol cannot help but to chuckle as she fish her phone from the pocket of her jacket, touching here and there until she show the screen to the boys at the back, "It's only tracker. See this blinking green circle with number and how it cluster together? It's the bracelet. There's number engraved on bracelet."
"Look, mines 007. I'm Bond, James Bond." Jungkook imitated, forming a gun using his fingers as he snatch Namjoon's shades.
*** "Noona, is that a real gun?" Taehyung broke the silence as the boys watch the girl in front as she buckle the strap of her holster on her thighs.
"Yes," Eun Byeol answered, "And you're older than me, Tae."
to which the lad answered with a weird chuckle, "I like calling you Noona huehue."
"Why do secret agents wear sunglasses?" Namjoon asks.
"So that they can see even through the bright light." Eun Byeol answered.
"Is that a shuriken? Wow! I only see it on Naruto." Jimin gasped after she saw the sharp metal thing when Eun Byeol places them on its bag and then to her jacket.
"It's not a shuriken. This is called a throwing star, similar to throwing knives but can only penetrate the surface of the skin." Eun Byeol answered.
*** Eun Byeol notices how Taehyung fidgets the hem of his shirt as they get nearer to the venue. She can sense his anxiety and she cannot help but to see herself 4 years ago, when she got her first mission. She can remember how her nerves were killing her and she can't blame the guy. Someone is after their lives and wants them dead, who wouldn't be scared of that?
Heaving a sigh, she grab her bag and unzip the smallest pocket, picking up something inside it. She turn on her seat so she's facing the boys at the back.
"Why are you giving me a ballpen?" Taehyung asks with wide eyes when Eun Byeol suddenly stretch her hand towards him, a ballpoint pen used to sign papers on the outstretch hand.
"twist the lower half and pull it away slowly. Be careful, though." instead of answering, Eun Byeol command him to open it. Taehyung did what she asks, twisting the lower half carefully and pulling it away, revealing not the ink but a sharp small knife. Taehyung's eyes widen as the other members who saw it gasped.
"If it makes you to calm down just a little bit, you can borrow it. It's not like I'm going to use it, I have plenty of throw knives here." Eun Byeol stated, pushing her leather jacket out to show then the weapons hidden inside.
A blush crept on Taehyung's cheeks, smiling at his own as he bit his lips while looking at the small knife disguised as a signing pen, unknown to the glares from the two person at the back.
"And the ballpen's working so you can also use it to sign albums." she added.
"Byeol-ah, why only Taehyung got to have that amazing pen?" Jimin whine, pouting even more when Eun Byeol did nothing but to laugh and turn back to sit properly.
