Chapter 35

"Holy shit! You're bleeding!" Jungkook gasped as he notice the crimson map beginning to form on Eun Byeol's white jacket. Right at the center of the crimson blood sipping through the fabric of her jacket was a hole and fresh gunshot wound that didn't stop from leaking blood.

Jungkook fumbled through his pockets for a handkerchief to atleast stop the bleeding but Eun Byeol just place a hand on top of his busy hands.

"I got much worse than this on my past missions. I wouldn't die from this." she assured. Though you can't see any emotion on her face, her eyes screams pain and discomfort. She got shot so many times on the past but she won't ever got used to the pain a gunshot can bring.

"Yes you can," Yoongi butted in, "From bleeding out and infections." he continued on a matter of fact tone, checking the Box Magazine of the guns he acquired.

"Shut up, Know-it-all." she spat, letting Jungkook to apply pressure using his handkerchief on her wound.

Not even a minute of calmness past when it begins to rain with bullet. Eun Byeol caught the sight of a black van following them with masked men shooting their car continuously. Manager Hyungwon tried his best to swerve and avoid the bullets piercing through the metal part of the car, though it was impossible.

"Shit." Eun Byeol curse when a bullet cracked through the glass window at the back and nearly hit the two of them. Thankfully, she managed to push Jungkook and her head out of the way. The other members were all ducking down to the car's floor.

Eun Byeol grab an extra box magazine full of ammos, ejecting the one on her gun and changing it to a new and full one. Eun Byeol and Yoongi's eyes met, with the latter nodding his head and hands armed with two guns, she nodded back. No matter how she don't like any of them risking their lives since it's her job, she needs all the help they can give. Anyway, she's only one protecting seven guys from battalion of armed men trying to killing them.

"Stay low." She whispered to the guys, using Jungkook's wide shoulders to help her get up.

"But Noona, you're injured." Taehyung stated.

"I'm just injured but I can still kill some pests." she stated, using her left to open the side window and shoot from there. Thankfully, she's ambidextrous.

From the van's window, Yoongi and Eun Byeol tried their best to shoot down their perpetrators so they could escape. She silently curses when a bullet past through right beside her temple, only managing to graze against but she can feel the warm blood trickling down from her temple and the sting from the cut.

Eun Byeol took a shelter inside the van at the same time with Yoongi, both panting as they look at each other.

"I've run out of bullet."

"We can't defeat them."

Both of them said in unison. Eun Byeol grab the last magazine on her jacket, handing it to Yoongi who immediately reload his gun.

"Don't try to kill them, try to shoot their wheels so they would stop following us." she said to Yoongi who just nodded.

The two of them went back to shooting them but instead of doing what she had said, she goes to aim at the driver who you couldn't see because they wear dark clothes and the car's tinted.

Jungkook, on the other hand, was crouched at the floor with his hyungs. Seeing Eun Byeol and Yoongi's interaction flared something inside of him. It wasn't the right time to feel jealous, Jeon Jungkook! You're literally at the middle of life and death situation and your girl and your hyung is doing their to protect you! he scolded himself but he cannot still help the bubbling jealousy inside of him. If only I can shoot gun like Yoongi hyung.

It suddenly feels like movie on Eun Byeol's eyes when she pushed the trigger and the bullet came flying through the air. The surroundings blurred as the sound around her becomes muffled. The bullet pierces through the air in slowmotion before it crashed the glass and the figure on the driver seat collapse. At the same time, Yoongi had managed to shoot the wheel and the car gone uncontrolled. The shootings halted as Eun Byeol came back to her senses. Okay, that was so cliché and dramatic.

Both Yoongi and Eun Byeol came back inside, panting as if they've run a mile both of their arms aching at the stressed they've gone through. The members, all peek their head to check if it's done breathe out the air they didn't know their holding.

"That was so crazy!" Jin exclaimed, going back to his seat and roam his eyes to check if everyone's okay.

"You didn't told us that you can shoot!" Namjoon commented, dumbfounded at the fact that his someone on their group knows how to shoot a gun.

"Now, I'm even more afraid of hyung." Jimin, after staying silent since the whole disaster finally says. His cheeks are stained with tears and his eye eyes still glistering with unshed tears but he still tried to crack a joke.

Jungkook, however, went straight to tend to Eun Byeol, ignoring his hyungs as he went back to putting pressure on his shoulder. His fingers went to wipe the blood that trickles down on the side of her head.

Eun Byeol's heart begins to pound really fast, not because of what happened just a second ago but because of how near their faces are. Seeing Jungkook's face this close makes her nervous.

Jungkook eyes travel from the cut on her temple and to her eyes, seeing that the lass is already looking at him. Both of their dark eyes stare at each other, their surroundings blurred and the chatters becomes muffled.

Jungkook's eyes might held the galaxy of stars but Eun Byeol's looks like a bottomless pit of darkness, dark and cold. Looking thoroughly, he sees that it wasn't really emotionless and cold, rather, it were like two pristine pair of onyx stone that sparkles with a purple hue whenever it was touch by light.

Then his eyes travels down to her cute button nose and landed to her rosy pink plump lips. Jungkook unknowingly lick his own lips, leaning down towards her, not caring if the other members are watching them.

Meanwhile, Eun Byeol finds herself getting lost on his eyes and when Jungkook started to lean down, she instinctively closes her eyes, waiting for his soft lips to touch hers.

She waited but it never came. Opening her eyes to see why it never came, she saw Jungkook passed out on her arms. She suddenly felt lightheaded, her vision spinning around and a sudden sleepiness hit her.

As her eyes roll back to her head, the last thing she see was Manager Hyungwon wearing a mask and staring at her through the rear view mirror and then she's out.
