Chapter 16

After what happened to the two maknaes of BTS, Bang Si Hyuk gave them the remaining two weeks to rest, cancelling all of their schedules until the World Tour in Chile. The incident was all over the news the day after. Unfortunately, one of Taekook/Vkook fansite saw them being beaten but couldn't help because she's afraid and cannot fight. She witnessed all of what happened, took a video of the whole incident and posted it on his blogsite.

The five thugs were already on the police's custody and was charged with Attempted robbery, Possesion of drugs and being under the influence of drugs and has been sentenced with five years imprisonment for each one of them. The incident was purely coincidental and no connection to the on-going death threats and attempt murders of the members of BTS. It happens to be that the boys are in a wrong place at the wrong time.

Eun Byeol was dubbed as the "Wonderunnie/Wondernoona who saved the lives of their beloved BTS" by the ARMYs. Most of the ARMYs who attended the past fansigning events recognizes her as the "cool unnie/noona on all black on BTS' fansign event" but never really pay attention to her until now. They admire her for her bravery and heroic deed which was saving the lives of their Oppa. Majority of the ARMYs thank her for saving Jungkook and Taehyung from the thugs. The boys fansites even gifted her with things she doesn't really need, stating that it's a small token of appreciation.

Eun Byeol knew it is no good. The footage was so clear, her face and her movements were all caught, even the stunts with the gun. Everyone who knew better could put two together that she's not an ordinary staff nor a management trainee. Some of the fans who knew martial arts even commented how unique her techniques are and how well trained she could be.

The mastermind behind death threats and attempt murders of BTS will surely going to find out about this--if not, they might already know and planning something. They have been silent for the past days so Eun Byeol sure they are planning something big. It's just the matter of time and place. Now that her undercover was blown away, protecting them would going to be much more trickier.

"I'm really sorry, Byeol-ah. It's my fault. If I haven't go out, this wouldn't happened." Jungkook stated, his voice was soft and guilt ridden.

Three days after the incident, Jungkook and Taehyung were still on their recovery state but some of their wounds started to close up, although the bruises are still on their ugly deep purple phase but nonetheless, healing. Their once flawless skin was now littered with bruises and bandages everywhere. Taehyung's eyebrow and Jungkook's upper lips need to be stitched up because of the blow it received but the doctor said that it will not leave a scar if tended properly.

"It's also my fault. As his hyung, I should've done everything to stop Jungkook but the only thing I did was to follow him. I could've protected him." Taehyung added.

They are currently huddled on the living room in BTS' dormitory, courtesy of Jin and Namjoon who wanted to talk about the incident since the maknaes have had their rest. Eversince that day, Eun Byeol was spending more and more time with BTS, mostly staying on their dorm and tending to the two maknaes.

"Now you understand the consequences of being hardheaded. Jungkook, Taehyung, you two are well aware of our situation right now. We're idols who have guns pointed at our back. I know you guys are big enough to decide for yourself but you should've thought of the people who will catch the consequences with you. ARMY are so worried about the two of you, especially us. When you guys goes missing and we have no idea where you were, we were worried sick! And then Eun Byeol received a distress signal from Jungkook, we doesn't know what to do! And then when we came to pick you guys up to only see that you were beaten into pulp, I nearly have aneurysm." Jin chided sternly.

"But Jin, aneurysm wasn't or cannot be caused by stress, but it can directly cause you stroke." Yoongi butted in, receiving an immediate glare from the eldest.

"But you get his point. Jin hyung was right. If something bad happens to you, it will affect the whole group. You must always keep in mind that every decision of yours can affect the whole group so the next time you decide, it will be for the better." The leader backed up Jin who was still glaring at Yoongi who give no fuck on the death glare he had been receiving.

"We're really sorry, Hyungs." The two maknae apologizes, their head was bowed in embarrassment and guilt.

"We're not supposed to be the one who should receive your apologies. Eun Byeol ran to find and save you. Although it's her work, she could've just ask and wait for back-up but she ran straight and beat five grown men by herself. She deserves your sorry and thank you more than us." Hoseok stated, directing his glance to the girl who was comfortably sitting on the single sofa, her feet was on top of the other and fingers playing with her lips.

"Noona, we're sorry!"

"Byeol-ah, I'm sorry and thank you for saving us. This will be the last time this will going to happen."

Both Jungkook and Taehyung cried at the same time.

"It already happened so I don't have anything to say but I am disappointed with the two of you." This made the maknaes to cry even more.

"And who said you can cry?" As if on cue, the maknaes stopped crying immediately, their eyes were swollen and red due to non-stop crying.

Jimin suddenly burst into guffaw, unable to handle the scenario in front of him to which Hoseok followed suit and then Jin and then Namjoon, even Yoongi laughed too and Eun Byeol smiled a little.

Even if the situation is really serious and tense, they cannot help but to laugh at the maknaes' faces. They were once hunched over their seat, wailing like a little child then when Eun Byeol said that they can't cry, their back and shoulder suddenly straightened up, face contorting into funny expression because of hard they are trying to content their cries.

"What are you laughing at?" Jungkook pouted, blush tainting his cheek because of their reaction.

"Noona is smiling! Kookie, Noona is not mad at us anymore! She's smiling because of us!" Taehyung cheered, wiping his nose and tears with the back of his hand as box shaped smile adorns his lips.

Jungkook's gaze went to Eun Byeol who were true to his word, smiling at them. In his eyes, she looks like she's glowing brightly, like those in cliche animes where roses and sparks falls on the protagonist whenever they have a close-up smiling.

dug. dug. dug. dug

Jungkook's cheeks heated up even more at the sight of Eun Byeol smiling, his heart was thumping really hard like it wants to get out of its ribcage. He suddenly can't breathe because of the overwhelming feeling.

"HYUNG! JUNGKOOK WASN'T BREATHING!"
