New girl

Amity POV
I Readjust my number one student star badge in the mirror, we have a new student starting here today and as the best student it's my job to show them around.

"Hey amity" Sam waves,

"Hi Sam" I wave back, Samuel exodus he's the same age as me and comes from a pretty wealth family. According to my mother it's my job to marry a boy like him, in order to improve the family name.

He stops and walks back over to me, "I was actually wondering if you maybe wanted to get lunch with me?"

"That sounds lovely, but I'm a bit busy today."

"Oh, that's fine." He sighs sounding disappointed. "Rain check?"

I nod.

I continue walking towards the front gate, hopefully this new  student is a decently powerful witch. We don't need anymore half witches like willow, or another human fixated knucklehead like Augustus.

"Hello?" Someone pokes my back, snapping me from my train of thought. "I'm luz, I'm new here" a girl smiles.

"You're ears..are you human?" I ask, alarmed by an actual human in the boiling isles!

"Yeah? I am" she nods, seeming confused.

"But..but how did you?" I stumble on the right words to say. What are you doing amity, you're the number one student and you're getting frustrated over a human? Even if she's pretty, did I just call her pretty?

"Are we gonna go in the tour now?" She asks, once again break my train of thought.

"Oh yes," I nod, recomposing myself. "Follow me, please."

Come on amity you're the number one student, never forget that. "And lastly here's the cafeteria"

"Wow, this school is so big." She smiles looking amazed. "My last school was tiny."

"Your last school?"

"Oh, um never mind. So what are the class like?" She asks quickly Changing the subject.

"That depends what kinda of magic do you specialize in?"

"I can only pick one?"

"Well of course, I specialize in rune magic. Meaning I  do more advanced spells and create creatures like abomination. But you need a lot of power to do that sort of stuff, so not everyone's cut out for it."

"Well I'm not sure" she hum, she's really cute with her brow eyes, and short hair.

"I'm amity Blight" I over her a hand shake we're she looks at me confused. "you said your name was luz earlier, right?"

"Yeah, it's nice to me you." She smiles, shaking my hand.

I hang out with luz for the rest of the day making sure she got to her class and everything okay. She's actually pretty cool, and nice.

"oh look it's the half witch" I smile, noticing willow. "Are you trying to make another failed abomination? I ask, walking over to look in her caldron.

"Hey amity" willow sighs

"Stuff like this is why you can't get this" I smile, pointing to my best student badge. "After all you are half witch willow."

I kick out one of the post holding up the caldron causing her abomination to spill all over the floor. "Ignore her" I smile walking back over to luz.

"Amity, that was mean" luz says looking disappointed.

"Well of course it was mean, but it's to help here."

"That doesn't look like helping to me." He slowly shakes her head.

"What would you know? You've what been her for five minutes, you don't know anything about me or this school. You're not Even a really witch." The moment those words come out of my mouth I know there wrong. "Luz.. I'm sorry."

"Save it" she whispers, on the verge of tears. "If you think I'm such a freak then maybe we shouldn't be friends." 

"Luz, I didn't say that."

"Later" she whispers, walking over to willow to help her clean up her abomination.

Screw her, I have tons of friends. I'm the one that doesn't need her.
