Luz POV

"Amity?" I whisper after we kiss, which by the was amazing. I didn't think amity likes me like that, not the way I liked her.

I see her being to freak out, saying something about messing everything up. "Amity no, you didn't" by the time I muster those words she had already ran away.

"Amity?" I whisper, heartbroken.

I walk back to the owl house, Eda and king got back awhile ago. "Hey luz, did we miss anything?" Ed's asks, looking up from her photo album. "Ohh, luz. What's wrong?"

"Am..amity..she kissed me" I sniffle. "Then she ran away, di...did  I do something wrong?"

"Oh, luz" Eda sighs giving me a hug. "You didn't do anything wrong."

I nod, whipping away my tears. "I think I'm gonna go to bed."

"Night" eda and kings say in unison as I'm walking up the stairs. I change into my otter onesie and curl up into a ball on my bed.

I hope she doesn't hate me.

Amity's POV (lots of swearing)

"Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck!! I fucked everything up!" I mutter running as fast as I can back to my house. What was I thinking, she said it. She said it herself, 'that's what friends do". She only wants to be friends, nothing more. But I had to go and kiss her, fucking everything up like always.

I trip over a root falling on my face. "Fuck" I hiss, once again starting to cry. Which I can't tell is from my sore face, cut up knee or my breaking heart.

"What's wrong with me? I'm acting like an idiot" I yell slamming my fist against the ground. "Idiot, idiot, idiot." I continued to say slamming my fist till it turns an ugly colour.

"idiot" I once again weep.

(Time skip)

"Mittens?!" My sister asks running over to the door. "Where have you been? Look at you you're covered in dirt, what happened to your hand. And your eyes are all puffy." She rants on.

"I.. I.. I did something stupid" I mutter.

"Oh mittens, you didn't kill someone did you?'

"No" I answer confused. "Why was that your go to question?"

"Well you do look like you just killed someone, and I wouldn't put it past you."

"No" I sigh. "I tried to confess to luz."

"oh mittens, that's great!" She smiles getting all exited.

"No, it not." I shake my head. "I tried to tell her but my words didn't work so I just kissed her, I didn't take her feelings into consideration and I think I messed everything up."

"Did she kiss back?"

I nod

"Mittens, if she kissed you back that means she probably likes you back."

"But she look so shocked?"

"That's normal, especially when someone kisses you out of the blue." She chuckles. "Did she say anything after you kissed her?"

"No" I shake my head. "I ran away."

"You ran away?" She asks doing the boi hands. (I don't know what they're called) "you ran away!"

"I thought she was upset" I try to defend myself.

"Mittens you leaving probably made her more upset then you kissing her."

"Oh my gosh you're right!" I start to panic. "We go to school together how am I gonna be around her all day. Let alone talk to her, she's everywhere I can't just ignore her."

"I can hear you from upstairs." Mother interrupts us. "Emira go to your room I would like to speak to amity alone."

"Yes, mother" my sister nods, walking away.

"Now amity, what seems to be the problem?" She asks crossing her fingers in front of her dress, which is a sigh she's not to happy with me.

"Nothing mother" I gulp, "just some trouble at school."

"Don't worry about school, it's more important that you become a suitable wife. Which means you can't be looking like some middle class commoner, will finish this conversation after you wash up. Am I understood?"

"yes mother." I nod in agreement.

tonight couldn't get any worse.
