Amity's POV:

Luz knocks, four or five more times. With still no answers.

"Maybe she's not home right now?" I ask, trying to  comfort her.

She reaches forward again,

"luz"

"One more time, of she doesn't answer. Then we can somewhere else."

I nod,

Knock, knock, knock.

Slience,

"I guess she's not here."

"I'm sorry luz, I'm sure she'll be back later."

She nods, as we turn to leave.

The door suddenly swings open. "I told you no salesmans."

"Mom?" Luz spins around.

"Luz?"

"Mom!"

"Luz!"

She runs into her mother's arms for a long overdue hug.

"I missed you so much." I hear luz whisper.

"I missed you to baby." She smiles, pulling away. "Look how big you've grow, I swear you we're only to my shoulder when you left."

Luz chuckles, "looks like I've grown up."

She looks back at me, "actually mom there's someone I want you to meet."

She takes my hand, pulling me forwards.

"This is my girlfriend, Amity."

She blinks a few times, "y-your girlfriend."

Luz nods,

"Oh, um" she stutters.

I start getting nervous.

"It's nice to meet you." She smiles, extending a hand.

"You too." I smile, shaking her hand.

"If you hurt my daughter they will be consequences."

"Mom!"

"What?"

I chuckle,"it's okay luz." I turn refacing her mother. "I promise I won't "

She nods, "would you to like to come inside, I could make some tea?"

We nod,

"This is your house." I whisper, it's different than what luz described.

"So how long have you too been dating?" She asks, turning on the kettle.

"Two years." Luz responses,

"I see."

We sit there in an awkward silence, till it's broken by the loud screaming of the kettle.

"Teas ready" luz mother's smiles, walking to the kitchen.

"Are you okay?"

She nods, "it's just, just alot."

"I know."

From what luz told me, they didn't part on the best terms.

I reach other holding her hand, "it's going to be okay." I whispers,

"I hope you like lemon ginger" her mother comes back, placing to cups in front of us.

I nod, "thank you."

"So, what have you been up to?"

"I became a witch," luz replies.

"You still have quite the imagination." Luz mother shuffles in her chair.

"I'm not making this up, even of I was what's wrong with imagination?"

"Well sweetie, there's nothing wrong. Just sometimes, sometimes you're a little to intense."

"Is that why you were going to send me away?" Luz asks, "because I was 'to intense'"

"Luz" she sighs, "let's not talk about this now."

"Then when mom?" She asks, "are we going to pretend that nothing happened, I was gone for three years."

"I know." She mutters, looking over to the clock. "I'm late for my shift, I have to go."

"Of course" luz Crosses her arms, falling back against the couch.

"Can we talk about this when we get back?"

"I guess" she grunts,

"Nice to meet you." I wave to her on her way out. "She seems nice."

"Yeah," luz mutters,

"Are you okay. "

She nods, "let's go"

She suddenly stands up, talking towards the door.

"Go where?" I ask, trying to catch up to her.

"We're find a way back to the boiling isles."
