Chapter 2: "You are still my favorite yet most painful story to tell."

I stopped sipping my hot choco then gazed at Ellie's phone that he put on the table as soon as he entered my unit. My brows raised as I saw the news. "Ateng naman! Alam ko marupok ka pero konting pigil naman! Alam mo ba na kanina pa ako natutulig sa  mga calls dahil sa karupukan mo?"

I raised my brows. "What's wrong with Vash and I being seen together?" I said, giving him an innocent look.

Ginawan na naman kami ng issue ni Vash dahil nakita kami na magkayap at sweet sa isa't-isa. They even took a picture of us while he was hugging me as were singing along with Jamie the other night. Nakunan pa kami na magkasamang umalis. The paparazzi assumed that we were in a secret relationship. How I wish!

"Seryoso ka, ateng? Pine-pair up kayo ni Rake Flores! You'll be doing a movie together!" Pumalatak siya. "Oo, sinabi ko na mag-enjoy ka sa party, Louee. Pero hindi ko sinabing magparty-party ka with your chummy slash ex!"

I took a sip from my drink then said, "you know Vash and I are just friends. So why be bothered about this?"

He stared at me then heaved a sigh then took the seat across me. "O bakit ganon ang dating? Super bitter."

I just sighed and gave him a bored look. "I'm not bitter."

He rolled his eyes. "Elementary to High school honor student ako. College, dean's lister ako! Pero hindi ko ma-gets talaga ateng, kung bakit! Anong pumasok sa kukote mo at kinaibigan mo yung ex mo!" sapo ang noo na litanya niya. "Yung totoo, hindi mo ba alam ang meaning ng ex? Gusto mo i-google ko para sa'yo?"

I smirked and gave him some food. "Gutom lang yan, Ellie."

"Huwag mong i-divert ang atensiyon ko, Louee. Gutom ako pero tatalak pa din ako." He took the coffee I gave him and drank it. "Matalino ka naman pero bakit syonga ka pagdating sa papable na ex mo? Andun na tayo, hottie talaga at nuknukan ng gwapo. Pagnanasaan ko ba naman kung hindi? Pero ateng, hindi kinakaibigan ang ex! Don't you know the golden rule? Kapag finish na, finish na! Wala ng balikan. Tapos na. Putulin lahat ng komunikasyon."

"Susmarya! Ikaw, you didn't just keep your communication open to him, you even befriended him! O ikaw na, ateng! Sa'yo na ang korona ng mga martir!" 

I rolled my eyes. "You've said that a hundred times, Ellie."

"It's because you don't listen, Louee. Sinasabi ko ito hindi bilang manager mo. Kaibigan mo ako, ateng. Akala mo ba hindi ko alam kung bakit pumayag kang maging chummy ng ex mo? Ateng, ang tagal na; hindi ka na babalikan ni Vash. Kung may balak yon na makipag-balikan sa'yo, sana dati pa. Magising ka na sa katotohanan."

My mouth set in a hard line and looked away. "Your imagination got the best of you again." I breathed out. "How many times do I have to tell you that I'm over him? Matagal na."

Tinaasan niya ako ng kilay. "Nako! Nako! Huwag ako, ateng! Anong tingin mo sa akin, ipinanganak kahapon? Been there, done that. Alam ko, okay!"

I breathed out harshly and stood up. "Ewan ko sa'yo, Eliano! Ang aga-aga, naglilitanya ka diyan."

"O, tinamaan kaya nag-wa-walk out?"

I rolled my eyes and turned to face him. "Ano, hindi na ako pwedeng maligo? Ka-kansela na ba natin yung guestings ko today?"

"Hmp. Go na, mag-ayos ka na."

I felt so tired after a long day. Katatapos lang ng isang guesting ko sa isang talk show. "Ateng, mag-pahinga ka agad tonight. May shooting ka pa bukas sa probinsiya. Ilang oras din ang biyahe papunta sa Pangasinan."
