Chapter 1

Chapter 1: "They say it won't matter in a year, but what happens if it does? What happens if, a year later, it still breaks my heart? What then?"

I pursed my lips as the car stopped in front of the bar where the birthday party of Crisha, a celebrity that I had worked with before, was being held. Marami ng tao. I sighed and turned to manager Ellie.

"Forty minutes, that's it."

He rolled his eyes. "Gaga. Pumunta pa tayo kung aalis din pala tayo agad?"

"I'm tired, okay? I just couldn't say no to Crisha. She's always been nice to me."

"You need to chill sometimes. Tutal nandito na tayo, let's party na! Besides, Crish always throws the best party! Kaya mag-party party tayo ngayon!"

"As my manager aren't you supposed to be strict when it comes to partying?" I said sarcastically.

He smirked. "I'm not just your manager but also your friend, so suck it up! We'll party hard tonight! Let's go!" He was in a hurry to get out while I took my time. I don't really feel like partying or even socializing tonight. I just want to rest and sleep early. Hinila na niya ako papasok. 

Isinalubong kami ng ingay. Ang dami ng nagsasayaw sa gitna. It made Ellie even more excited. Pasayaw-sayaw na siya habang palapit kami sa birthday celebrant. Malaki ang ngiti na sinalubong kami ni Crisha at niyakap.

"I thought you wouldn't make it! Magtatampo na sana ako!"

I smiled. "Happy birthday!" 

We chatted for a bit then Ellie and I headed to the bar and ordered frozen margarita.

"Your chummy is here!"

Sinundan ko ng tingin ang ininguso niya. And there on the dance floor dancing with some hot chick was Vash. He looked like he was having the time of his life. Why the heck not? They were grinding against each other. I turned my back and took a sip from my drink.

"Sayaw tayo!"

"Go ahead."

He pursed his lips. "Ateng, nandito tayo para mag-enjoy, okay? Kapag feel mo na, samahan mo ako sa dance floor."

I nodded. "Sure."

I was on my second drink when Robbie Perez, an actor and host, came to chat with me. Nalibang naman ako dahil masarap siyang kakwentuhan. At isa siya sa iilang tao na hindi plastik kaya naging kaibigan ko siya.

I was laughing to what he was saying about an actress when someone put his arm around my shoulders. Pabango pa lang kilala ko.

"Hi, chummy!" He kissed my cheek. "Why didn't you tell me that you'd attend the party? Sabay na lang sana tayo!"

"Malay ko ba naman na pupunta ka? Saka baka may ka-date ka. Kahiya naman kung magiging third wheel ako," biro ko sa kanya.

Ngumisi siya at mas hinapit pa ako palapit. "Correction, chums, siya ang magiging third wheel hindi ikaw."

I rolled my eyes. Napatingin kami kay Robbie ng tumawa siya. "This is why lagi kayong na-i-issue na may relasyon. If I didn't know any better, I'd honestly think na kayo."

"Robskie!" Nakipag-high five siya dito. 

"Ano, hindi pa ba kayo aamin? Tayo-tayo lang naman dito o," nakangising biro ni Robbie.

He chuckled. "Louee is the most special woman in my life."
