The Hunters Weakness [1] Theo Raeken

Chapter Sixteen:

Khloe arrived home to see Stiles' jeep parked in her driveway. She'd barely spoken to him and to be honest she was afraid to. She didn't know his thoughts about everything. She thought Stiles hated her. 

She knocked onto his front window giving him a fright. She chuckled and jumped into the passenger side. He gave her a small smile but started the engine. The car ride was completely silent. She felt awkward. She didn't know what to say to him.

She watched as he parked in front of their local café "Shall we grab some coffee?" Stiles finally says "and we'll talk. Talk about everything?" he adds. She gave him a nod and followed him out from the jeep. 

Khloe ordered her favourite hot chocolate and went to find a table whilst Stiles waited for their drinks to be done. She wanted to text Theo. She wanted to know if he was okay but she didn't want to show her emotions. She didn't want him to find out the truth even though she was pretty sure he already knew the truth. 

A few seconds later Stiles placed the drinks down onto the table along with 2 pieces of cake. He couldn't help but smile at his best friend sitting in front of him. He missed her. He missed the conversations they would have. He missed how they always spoke about everything. He wanted that bond back with her. 

"Can we start over? I know we've barely spoken but I miss you Khlo" Stiles started "I've been a shitty friend and I'm sorry for that" he adds but she shook her head "No! I've been the shitty friend trying to make my damn parents proud. I was the shitty friend by leaving you to train for some legacy that I don't think I want to follow anymore" Khloe blurts out. She felt good. It felt good telling someone how she actually felt. Someone other than her brother. "I understand why you left. Your parents didn't give you a choice. You wanted to make them proud by following the legacy but in doing so you've made yourself feel miserable" Stiles told her. She grabbed a hold of his hand and slipped hers into his. 

Her eyes met his. She took a deep breath and said "Screw my parents. Screw the stupid legacy. I don't want to kill anyone. I never wanted to kill anyone. I want to protect you. I want to protect him" Stiles smiled at her words 

Khloe looked down at her phone to see a text from Kyle. She wanted to scream. She wanted to tell him to leave her alone but she knew she couldn't. She knew she needed to keep Kyle on side to protect Theo. 

She sighed and started to type. Stiles noticed the depressive look on her face. He could always tell when there was something wrong with her. He knew her better than anyone ever would "What the matter?" he asked her "It's Kyle....He thinks we're together" she answers "Haven't you told him otherwise?" Stiles mentions "I can't" was all the words she could get out. 

Stiles gave her a questioning look. She couldn't fool him even if she wanted to "I'm protecting Theo by being with Kyle. He found out I was protecting you guys....So I lied to protect you" she tells her "But you're lying to yourself?" Stiles questions "what would I be lying about?" Khloe asks him "About you're feeling for Theo"

Khloe took a sip at her hot chocolate and avoided eye contact with her best friend. She looked down at the text messages from Theo scrolling through them. Reading their texts made her heart flutter. It made her feel alive. 

Stiles was right, Khloe was lying to herself. Logan was right, Khloe was denying how she felt. Everyone was right and everyone could see how she felt. She placed her head in her hands and onto the table "I've made a mess. Theo hates me" she spoke "of course he doesn't" Stiles told her causing her to look up. 

She looked at him with shock in her eyes. She flicked her eyes to her phone then back at Stiles "Tell him the truth" Stiles told her. She clicked onto Theo's contact in her phone and typed 'How are you feeling? x-K' 'Be better if you were here x-T' 'I wish I could be but you know I can't x-K' 'That's bullshit and you know it! x-T' 'What's it gonna take to get you to believe me? x-K' 

'I'll believe you when you start telling the truth x-T' 'I am telling you the truth x-K' 'No you're not! Your lying to me and to yourself which is why I'm gonna leave you alone until you figure it out x-T' 

Logan gave his girlfriend a small kiss and said "You ready to meet them?" she nodded in return "Come on....Let's get to the loft" he adds. Logan grabbed a hold of Gabrielle's hand "are you sure you're sisters on your side? Are you sure she's not going to kill us" she asked him with concern in her eyes.

"She's on our side. She just won't admit it" he answers "How can you be certain?" Gabrielle asked him "Because she's in love with Theo Raeken" He blurts out "Shit! You can't tell him I told you that" he adds where Gabrielle chuckled 

"You're cute when you're nervous. Don't worry about it. Your secrets safe. I won't tell a soul" Gabrielle comments "I love you" Logan says before kissing her cheek "I love you too" Scott heard the two walking up to the door so he decided to open the doors for them. The entire pack turned to look at Gabrielle. She was gorgeous. "This is Gabrielle" Logan introduces her "Welcome to the pack sweetheart" Derek smirks. 

"You promise to keep her safe?" Logan says "I promise to keep her safe" Scott answers "The Silvers won't get anywhere near her" Theo chirps "let me introduce you to the pack" Logan starts "This is Scott McCall and that's Derek Hale" he says pointing in between Scott and Derek "That's Lydia Martin and there you have Chris and Allison Argent" Logan adds looking at the other three. 

"I'm Theo Raeken but you probably already knew that....Have you spoken to Khloe?" Theo asks Logan who gave him a pair of sad eyes "I don't know what to tell you. She's complicated. She won't talk to me" Logan spoke "She's on our side!" a voice shouts from behind them. 

The pack turned around to see Stiles. "She told you that?" Theo asked him "Not in so many words but I think she's on our side which means Logan you can go through with your plan" Stiles starts "What was your plan?" Stiles adds "We set a trap. We tell them Theo wants to meet. Khloe and myself will leave before hand" Logan informs them.
