TW: light sides are jerks

Roman had been working harder than any of the other sides. On top of making ideas for the videos, he also had to fill the role of Thomas's ego, along with keeping his self-esteem levels high. He also had to make sure that Creativity levels weren't too high or too low, but a balance. Any viewer who paid attention would see that, would see how hard Roman worked.

So why didn't the other Light sides?

Roman had gone out of his room to take a break, for the first time in a few weeks. He had dark circles under his eyes from lack of sleep and overwork, but the creative side kept pushing himself; how else would he stay on top of things otherwise?

Logan happened to walk into the Light commons at the same time Roman was there getting a glass of water. The logical side groaned at the sight of the prince. "Roman, would you please work harder on the script for the next Sanders Sides video? The deadline is quickly approaching."

Roman held back a sob; he had already been working so hard, and none of the other side recognized that. Why didn't they recognize that?

"Sure thing, Logan!" the prince chirped, slapping a smile on his face. He sped back to his room to work. Truth be told, Roman had actually already finished the script for the next video, edited and re-edited it until it was perfect. He had put so much of his time into it, neglecting his own needs to finish it for the other sides and Thomas. He was now working on the scripts for the next two videos simultaneously, and was constantly checking the stats for confidence levels, which seemed to still be stable, luckily. He was also stressing to make sure Thomas had enough ideas for future projects.

He sighed. It's fine, I need to work more anyway. He collapsed back onto his desk chair and hunched back over his desk, resuming working on his many tasks.

2 Weeks Later

This was the first time in two weeks since Roman had left his room, and that was only to show Logan the script for the upcoming video.

Logan skimmed through it and scoffed. "What do you expect me to say to this?" He snapped at the creative side, dampening his hopeful expression. "This is a joke, right?"

"U-Uh, no, I've worked on it for a while-" Roman started, only to be cut off.

"It doesn't make any sense whatsoever, the subject doesn't stay on one topic, it's messy, and you've brought up things we've already discussed in past videos!" Logan went on. "I didn't think you were this stupid, as to produce this and call it hard work," he seethed, gesturing to the 30-page script.

A new voice spoke up. "Uh, L-Lo, d-don't you think that's a little... harsh?"

"I do not see how this involves you, Virgil," Logan snapped.

Virgil sighed and tried again. "I-I mean, he's been working t-to meet the deadline-"

Logan sighed. "Virgil, again, this does not concern you. It is my job to review the script. You stick to your job, and I will stick to mine."

The anxious side ducked his head and muttered a barely audible "sorry" before exiting the room. Roman only brightened up his face- gods forbid someone see him discouraged- and said, "That's fine, I'll go work on it some more!" before sinking out into his room.

There was a very tall stack of ideas on his desk, with a sticky note on top of them: Thomas's ideas for you to put your creative input on, we need them done by Monday, thanks! :P -Pat 💕

On Monday, 3 days later

Shit, shit shit shit-

A door creaked open, dousing the room with light and hurting his eyes. "Hey, kiddo!"
