Fuck. Though he didn't usually approve of swearing, that was what Logan was thinking when Patton proposed that they invite Deceit over for Disney movie night in a few days. He didn't think something bad would happen, no; Dee was too smart to do anything like that with Virgil around. He was just scared- no, nervous was a better way of saying it- and he didn't know why. So when Deceit had replied via letter that yes, he would come, Logan was internally freaking out. He couldn't let it show, though, because of the whole "no emotions" thing he had going on with the Lights.

So when Logan received an anonymous letter the day before movie night that had, in fancy cursive, written: "Lies taste like honey", he didn't know what to think. He couldn't ask the others about it, because no one could know that he kind of maybe had a little-tiny-itty-bitty-GIANT crush on Deceit. He couldn't help it; Deceit's snarky, flirty attitude, the way he was a master of doing an extremely flirty gesture while saying the most sarcastic lie possible. For example, one time they were all playing monopoly (Deceit "totally wasn't" cheating) and Deceit went to get a drink. Virgil, being the anxious side he was, followed him out of distrust. Dee whipped around and gave Vee the most flirtatious smile he could, cupped his face in his hand, and said, "Wow, Virgil, that eyeshadow is 'really' working for you." Yeah. And maybe Logan was a little jealous.

Anyways, Logan was sure that he had heard that statement before somewhere, so he looked it up, and apparently it was some sort of phrase. He started thinking; that phrase had to have come from somewhere, right? And if it had indeed, then what if..? Well, Deceit was the literal embodiment of lies, so... Ugh! Feelings truly were the bane of his existence. Why were they so complicated? It wasn't logical that he felt like this.

He made a mental note to maybe expand on this... theory... later. Meanwhile, he went downstairs for dinner.

The next day, Logan put in an extra effort to look good for when Deceit came; he brushed his hair to the side, he wore his best sweater (Patton had said they were wearing casual clothes, so no tie). Roman, unfortunately, noticed.

"Hey, Teach, you okay? You're looking all dressed up today," he said about half an hour before Dee had said he was going to come.

Logan responded in his usual monotone voice, "I don't know what you're talking about. I simply want to look professional for our guest." He could tell that the creative side wasn't buying it, but luckily he asked no more questions and strolled off to his room, where Virgil was invariably waiting.

Patton also noticed something was off. As Logan's ability was persuasion- much like one might describe a mind trick, from Star Wars- Patton's ability was to tell what others were feeling, as well as take on others' feelings when they were too much. Patton pulled from the former of the two skills as he asked, "What's wrong, kiddo? You're nervous."

Again Logan denied it, but then a sing-song voice from the hallway sang, "Falsehood!" Deceit's ability was to tell if someone was lying. Wait-- WAIT-- DECEIT'S HERE ALREADY?! Logan quickly calmed himself down before Deceit came over and promptly flopped down on the couch. "So, what movie?" he asked casually, sprawling himself across the couch as if without a care in the world.

Logan replied, "W-We... wanted to let you choose, since you are our guest." HHHNNNGGG-

"Well, if you insist. Pirates of the Caribbean sounds horrible," he lied, a small smile making its way onto his face as Logan rushed over to the movie cabinet to get it, but there were five films that went by 'Pirates of the Caribbean'. "Which one?" He called out, then felt a hand reach over him. "Here," Deceit smirked at Logan's flustered expression as he handed him the first movie. "It looked like it was too high up for you to reach," the taller side said, not even realizing himself that the whole statement he'd just said didn't contain a single lie. Logan looked up and met his eyes for a second and wow. They were filled with this amazing depth, and the yellow one stood out brightly against the green of his scales. He could get lost in them, how they sparkled like the most beautiful stars he had ever- wait, I-I'm supposed to be putting the movie in! Logan scrambled over to put the DVD in the player embarrassed to have been caught staring. They'd interacted many times before and Logan wasn't this flustered, what was happening?

They watched most of the movie in silence, but Logan wasn't paying attention. Why, you might ask? Because Deceit was sitting right next to him. His scales were gleaming with the light of the TV, and he didn't have that snarky look he usually put up as a sort of metaphorical 'shield' with the Lights. He looked... calm.

Just then, Logan remembered something. That something being the mysterious letter he had received yesterday. He looked at Deceit, then developed a sudden particular interest in the floor near his own feet. Could Deceit have sent the letter? Maybe after the movie, he'd ask.

The movie ended soon after that, and Deceit was about to leave, but then Logan had an idea. "Deceit, why don't you stay a bit longer? We can watch a few more Pirates of the Caribbean movies," he suggested, not sure where this newfound confidence was coming from. Regardless, Deceit had agreed, and took a seat on the couch again, this time even closer to Logan. The logical side tried to keep a neutral expression, but his emotions betrayed him and he felt his face flush. Feelings truly were the bane of his existence.

Halfway through the third movie, it was about 1 in the morning and Deceit had noticed that Logan was struggling to stay awake, and since the others were fully absorbed in the movie, he decided that now was the time to act extremely romantic.

Logan felt himself being picked up from behind and thought, what the actual f- Then he saw that it was Deceit who had picked him up from behind the couch, and was now carrying him bridal-style to his room. He was embarrassed, naturally, but didn't have the energy to do anything about it; and in a moment of foolish bravery, the shorter side cuddled into Deceit's chest.

The usually deceptive side was so surprised, he nearly dropped Logan. But he regained his composure (aside from a super red face which he will never admit to) and made it to Logan's room. He tucked the logical side in (which he'll also never admit to) and sat on the chair by the desk. Why he didn't just go back out to watch the movie, he didn't entirely know. But for some reason, he wanted to be near Logan.

When Logan woke, it was barely light out. He remembered that they had all been watching movies last night, and-- oh. Why had Logan done that?! Oh, he had messed up, he- Why was Deceit sleeping at his desk?

Deceit woke up to see Logan reading in bed, still in his sweater from yesterday. He himself had worn his own sweater for movie night, but had snapped into a pair of sweats after Logan was asleep, and had soon fallen asleep himself. Logan turned his head at the noise of the creaking chair as Deceit sat up, his back sore from sleeping in a chair. "Oh, you're awake!" Logan put down his book and walked over to the coat rack where his signature bowler hat was. "I woke up earlier and seeing as you were still asleep, I hung up your hat and put a blanket over you." And indeed, there was a soft blue blanket pulled over his shoulders.

Deceit asked, his voice still groggy, "How long've you been up?"

"Oh, a couple hours. I woke up early and just decided to read until you woke up too." Logan was considerably less of a mess than last night, and had some form of confidence, so he picked up the paper he had left next to his bed and asked, "Did you... send this?"

Surprise made its way across Deceit's face as he realized that Logan had kept the note he had sent. He knew that the logical side would be curious about it, and maybe even want to... put it to the test? It probably wouldn't happen though, Deceit thought as he lied, "I don't know what you're talking about."

Logan, of course, knew that he was telling a falsehood, and that the other had probably sent the note to mess with him. But that didn't stop him from walking up to him, looking up deeply into his eyes, and saying, "So would you mind if we... tested the theory?" The blush was evident on Deceit's face as he stumbled over an answer.

In the end, the taller of the two decided that the best way to answer would be without words. He scooped Logan into his arm, cupped his face with his other hand, and kissed him on the lips passionately, earning a surprised noise from the logical side as he turned red from head to toe, before tentatively kissing back.

"So, did your theory prove to be true?" Deceit whispered in a low tone, as not to-

Whatever he was thinking, it was cut off by Logan kissing him again, more gently this time, yet still full of passion in its own way. "That it did," Logan whispered back, their lips still only inches apart.

Yaaaayyyy I've been wanting to do a Loceit oneshot for a while! Requests are open! :) (Also this takes place before the new Sanders Sides episode so Deceit is still called Deceit and not Janus)
