i never wanted to have to post this, let alone write it, but it must be said.
yes, i am aware of how long it's been since the last actual update. however, i – only recently – became aware of how much i kinda dislike writing right now.
to reiterate what i posted on my message board – writer's block and my declining mental health have taken over my life. i'm abandoning fanfics without an explanation (even the ones in a fandom i'm still a part of) and i don't want to, because i'd like to finish things, but i also can't. my ability to write has gone out the window.
i'm not even in the gorillaz fandom anymore, but i'm so desperate to finish this fic for both my sake and yours that i didn't take into account how fucking difficult it would be.
i love gorillaz and i always will, but leaving the fandom was the best thing to happen to me. and leaving the fandom gave me more freedom to like more artists, and listen to more music, which brings me to the next part.
if you're following me and have kept up with my message board, you'll know that i've decided to pursue a career (or hobby) in producing vocaloid & utau music. i have songs written and everything, but no laptop. but i might get one soon.
so, here comes good news & bad news: the good news is that, until i get a laptop, i'll try to finish this fic as best as i can. the bad news, however, is that when i do get a laptop, my ao3 account will be going on an indefinite hiatus. which means no fic transfers, no updates to the ones there, and the improved version of rhinestone eyes will not be posted.
but who knows? maybe in the future (distant?) i'll write more gorillaz fics. i just need to get in the right headspace, and improve my writing in general.
i only decided this, because my brain cannot think of two writing things at once. i have fanfiction writing, then songwriting. it's confusing, especially since i have to convert most of the songs i've written from english to romaji & katakana.
also, when i get a job (hopefully soon) i'll be able to do commissions for music videos, art and my utauloid while i practice art. my utauloid is so pretty ! here's something i made of her default outfit, but i want her hair much longer than this

her name's Noyume Sakura, which translates to "dreams of cherry blossoms".
ngl i feel like she'll be kinda popular, because she'll have 7 different voicebanks and i'll try my damndest to make her sound as clear as possible. her voice provider will be me, after all, and i'm so excited to record the voicebanks and post a demo to youtube 😁
anyways, that's all. sorry i got sidetracked.
