Chapter 23: Sneak Out

~Third Person's P.O.V~

The two planned to sneak out and meet again at the garden. It became their favorite place to visit when meeting each other. Yuna took the basket full of sandwiches that she made and snuck out easily while Kai had a hard time because Terry wasn't asleep yet. Even if they're friends, as long as it's for Kai's safety, Terry won't let him go outside at night. Good thing he still manages to do it. Well... Sort of.

"Goodnight girls!" -Lia

"Goodnight unnie." -Ryujin

A couple minutes later...

*Whisper*"Hey Ryujin." -Yuna

"..." -Ryujin

*Whisper*"Yah! Ryujin!" -Yuna

"..." -Ryujin

'Good. She's sleeping.' *tip toe* -Yuna

'I smell sandwiches! Ano nanamang balak ng babaeng 'to??' -Ryujin

...

'C'mon Terry... Go to sleep!' -Kai

"Kai?" -Terry

'Uh oh. Gotta move!' -Kai

"Kai is that you? Kai- oh, nvm. He's not here." -Terry

*Tip toe* *floor creaks* -Kai

'Screw it floor!' -Kai

"Kai? I know it's you wearing that robe." -Terry

*Running* -Kai

'Sheesh! What is he up to??' -Terry

The two are now at the meeting place. Yuna is sitting at the edge of the fountain with the basket beside her while Kai was standing a bit far away. It became his habit of giving Yuna flowers when they meet. Since most people are asleep by now, Kai fully stretched out his hand this time pulling a white rose from its roots and slowly putting it on top of Yuna's basket. He's waiting for the girl to notice it before walking towards her .

'Saan nanggaling 'tong bulaklak na'to?' -Yuna

"You like it?" -Kai

"You're here! Yeah of course! Actually, you don't need to give me flowers everytime we meet..." -Yuna

"I love doing it, so don't worry." -Kai

"Btw, I made sandwiches to eat while we're here." -Yuna

"Yummy!" -Kai

The two are eating sandwiches while looking at the night sky. There were a lot of stars twinkling that night that it made the view look lovely on their eyes. They were also having fun.

"What do you love about stars?" -Yuna

"I love the fact that there are different kinds of stars like their size, color, etc. Makes me think they're very unique from one another. What about you?" -Kai

"I love learning it's life cycle. From how they're created to how they end." -Yuna

"True." -Kai

When it comes to stars, they would easily agree with each other. Maybe one of the reasons why they became close easily. While Yuna was looking at the night sky, she noticed her pinky finger glitching. She immediately covered it with her other fingers so that Kai won't notice it. What she didn't know was that, Kai's pinky finger was also glitching while he's eating his sandwich. He quickly finished eating his food and put his hands inside his pockets. The two we're a little uncomfortable with each other because of the same reason but sill continued to talk.

'Ba't nag-giglitch daliri ko? Nandito ba si Ryujin??' -Yuna

Yuna thought that the reason why her pinky finger was glitching is because of Ryujin. When they met at kindergarten, their hands were glitching and that is how Yuna found out that she also has powers. She just didn't notice that her hand was also glitching that time because she was focused on looking at Ryujin.

"What time are you going home?" -Kai

"At midnight." -Yuna

"Do you want me to accompany you later?" -Kai

"You don't need to. You might get caught." -Yuna

"Alright." -Kai

There was another thing the two didn't know... Ryujin and Terry were watching them from the other side of the garden.
