Chapter 69: Proposal

~Third Person's P.O.V~

Kai, Lucy and Terry are now on their way to the orphanage. Yuna and Ryujin had teleported succesfully to Asterin. They both have something to say to each other and they have to make it fast. Before knocking, Kai saw some pretty flowers near where the kids were playing. Terry saw his expression and he knew Kai will use his powers again.

And he did! Kai put one of his hand at the back and moved his fingers. Terry and Lucy tried to cover his back to make sure no one, not even the kids, could see what he's doing. A tulip flower was slowly going towards the door and floated upwards to Kai's hand. It was a success. Then, he knocked.

*Knock* *knock* -Kai

*Creak*"Your highness! You've been visiting the orphanage a lot lately." -Lia

"Of course." -Kai

"Oohhh, a flower for Yuna?" -Lia

"Yeah. Is she here?" -Kai

"Yes, I'll call her." -Lia

"Thank you." -Kai

"Yuna! Ryujin! Kai and his friends are here!!" -Lia

"Coming unnie!" -Yuna

The two girls went downstairs. Ryujin saw Lia, Lucy and Terry meeting them with a smile while Yuna saw Kai with a tulip flower on his hand. They thought that Kai wants to spend another time with the girl he loves but they have more important things to talk about.

"Alam mo na gagawin?" -Yuna

*Nod*"Kai, come with me." -Ryujin

"B-but-" -Kai

"Shh. Later." -Ryujin

"Lia unnie, Lucy unnie and Taehyun, you guys come with me." -Yuna

"Wait, what's unnie?" -Lucy

"It means older sister." -Lia

"Ohh..." -Lucy

Ryujin grabbed Kai's arm and went outside, a little bit far from where the kids were playing. Yuna gathered the remaining three and brought them upstairs to her room.

"What do you wanna tell me?" -Kai

"Kai, remember sir Yeonjun?" -Ryujin

"Yes." -Kai

"So he did some research about our powers..." -Ryujin

...

"... And he said that it's a blessing with consequences." -Yuna

"What do you mean?" -Lia

"He said that our powers came from the supernova that exploded a decade ago..." -Yuna

...

"... And if another star turns to a supernova and is about to explode, our powers will go back to where it came from." -Ryujin

"What are the consequences?" -Kai

"First, anyone we have relations with, and us ourselves will forget every memory together..." -Ryujin

"... Second, two people with different powers shouldn't be together when the supernova explodes because they could possibly die. But the good side of that is, the supernova will stop exploding." -Yuna

*Speechless* -Lucy, Lia and Terry

"This is more complicated than our love lives..." -Terry

"So what happens?" -Lucy

"Taehyun, unnies... There are two stars that are now a supernova and are about to explode this year. Meaning our powers will be gone and we'll forget each other." -Yuna

"Yuna... Are you-" -Lia

*Sniffle*"Yes I'm serious unnie." -Yuna

...

"If that's the case, can you help me with something?" -Kai

"What is it?" -Ryujin

"I'm planning to propose to Yuna. Can you help me?" -Kai

"Why propose if we're going to forget each other?" -Ryujin

"Maybe there's a chance that I'll remember her if ever I see this ring." -Kai

Kai showed Ryujin the ring he bought for Yuna. He's really serious and Ryujin can see it. Maybe there's a chance, she wants her sister to be happy like her with Beomgyu even on their last days together so she agreed. They all went back to the living room and Ryujin suggested to let all the kids out for a moment. It's time!

"What's going on?" -Yuna

"Guys, let's step aside. Kai wants to say something." -Ryujin

'He's still doing it?' -Terry

*Ehem*"A flower for you Yuna." -Kai

"T-thanks. It's... Really pretty." -Yuna

"Just like you." -Kai

*Blush* -Yuna

'You're still flirting even when we're in danger?' -Yuna

"Anyways! I would like to say something... We've been friends for how long now but unfortunately, it didn't last. I confessed to you before that I fell in-love and so are you. My father chose princess Judy for me but she's really for Terry, also, I'm for you and you're for me. So Yuna, right now, before the stars explode, I wanna make you mine. *Proposal pose* Yuna Shin, will you marry me?" -Kai

*Gasp*"But Kai... We're still too young." -Yuna

Yuna loves Kai and she wants to say yes but, remember, they're not adults yet. Yuna is still in high school and she's already getting married?? Yeah, that's exactly what she's thinking that moment. But gladly, Lia made her feel at ease.

"I forgot to mention that even if you're married here, you're still single on Earth." -Lia

*Whisper*"Was that suppose to make her feel better?" -Lucy

"I hope so." -Lia

Yuna looked at Lia giving her an understanding look then back to Kai. She's silent for seconds, trying to decide if she'll say yes or no.

'So if I marry Kai here, single pa rin ako pagbalik sa Earth? Sounds fine to me.' -Yuna

"So Yuna, I'll ask you again, will you marry me? Here on Asterin??" -Kai

"... Yes." -Yuna

Finally! She said yes. Kai put on the ring on Yuna's ring finger and they hugged each other. Everyone was clapping, even the kids. Some were peeking at the windows that Lia forgot to close. They didn't care if they'll forget that day after the supernova explodes. They just wanna focus on the present.
