Chapter 28: Princess Judy

~Terry's P.O.V.~

Right now, me and Kai are at the balcony of his room. It's sunrise and we can see the pretty view of the colorful sky. We just had a quick talk with one another until he opened a topic I wasn't prepared for.

"What's gonna happen with princess Judy?" -Kai

"What do you mean?"

"I don't like her, she doesn't like me, you like each other, but she's my future wife." -Kai

"Judy likes me?" -Terry

"Idk about you but last night, she was blushing while looking at you." -Kai

"That explains the red tint on her cheeks. I thought it was make-up."

"So what now?" -Kai

"It's pretty complicated..."

"I know." -Kai

"I wish there's a law that princesses can marry royal guards..."

"And I wish there's a law where princes can marry low class residents." -Kai

"You mean peasants?"

"I don't wanna call Yuna like that." -Kai

"Wait, you're talking about Yuna?"

"Hey yeah... I like her?" -Kai

"Looks like it."

"But let's focus on you and Judy." -Kai

"What do you wanna know?"

"How did you get along?" -Kai

~Flashback~

I was roaming around the castle which is what I do as my job of being a royal guard in this kingdom. The adviser approached me and requested something.

"You're the prince's royal guard right?" -Adviser

"Yes I am."

"Where is he? Princess Judy is here to meet him." -Adviser

"Princess Judy?"

"Yes." -Adviser

"I think the prince is still eating dinner."

"If that's the case, may you entertain the princess while waiting?" -Adviser

"My pleasure."

After agreeing with him, princess Judy came and I admit, she looks pretty with that dress she's wearing. I felt my heart stopped beating for a milisec.

"Excuse me, where- oh. Are you prince Kai's royal guard?" -Judy

"That's me!"

"Your highness, I'll leave you two first while waiting for the prince." -Adviser

"Thank you." -Judy

"My princess." *bow*

"You don't have to do that. Just call me Judy!" -Judy

"Hi Judy. My name is Terry btw..."

"Hi Terry." *blush*

Me and princess Judy easily became friends. We had a fun talk while waiting for Kai. Then she said something that made me think the whole night...

"You know what Terry, even though I'm a princess and Kai is a prince, he's not really my type." -Judy

"I didn't know princesses are choosy."

"It's not like that. But it kinda is..." *chuckle* -Judy

"Well as a person who is close to the prince, I think he likes someone else..."

"Is she a princess?" -Judy

"Nope. Just a resident in this kingdom. How 'bout you? If you don't like the prince, do you like someone else?"

'I like you Terry.' -Judy

"I do! He's not a prince but, he's enough to make my heartbeat fast." -Judy

"Who?"

"Its..." *cough* -Judy

"Oh my! Princess! I'll get you water! Wait for me here."

'Nice acting Judy.' -Judy

I went to the kitchen down below the the castle. I took a glass of water and immediately went back to Judy. Then I saw Kai with her.

"So that's how you got along..." -Kai

"Yup. Now it's your turn. How 'bout Yuna, what do you think?"
