Emma's POV

I scan through the pile of dresses that my Mom has laid out for me. I sigh and rake a hand through my hair.

"What's the matter?" she asks.

"None of these are right." I say.

"Why are you so stressed? Killian doesn't care what you wear. He loves you for you." my Mom says. I shake my head.

"You don't get it. This is our first date since the curse broke and I just want it to be perfect." I say. She rubs my arm.

"I know, sweetie." I start biting my nails, trying to think about what to wear. I open the cupboard that is filled with dresses and then I spot one that catches my attention. I gasp and smile widely.

"Did you find one?" my Mom asks. I pull out the white dress that I wore on the day I first told Killian I loved him. It's perfect and I sigh out in relief. I get dressed and my Mom covers her mouth with her hand.

"You look so beautiful, Emma. I'm just so excited for you!" she exclaims. I raise my eyebrows. "It's just a date. We've been on them before." I say, shrugging my shoulders.

"Oh yeah. Right." My Mom tries to hide her smile and looks at the floor.

"What's the matter? What's going to happen tonight?" I ask, really confused. She bites her lip. #

"Think about it Emma! You're going to the place where you had your first date, he said that tonight was going to be really, really special and you've just been separated by the curse, which means he's thinking about how he never wants to be separated from you again." she exclaimed. I raise my eyebrows and stare at her, completely bewildered. She rolls her eyes and sighs.

Snow's POV

"For God's sake, Emma, he's going to propose tonight!" I squeal. I grab Emma's hands and smile widely. Her eyes widen and her face falls. I frown.

"I'm sorry for ruining the surprise. Your father told me and I just couldn't keep it a secret. I'm just too excited! Are you mad at me?" I ask worriedly. She shakes her head and I sigh out in relief. She collapses on a chair and puts her head in her heads. I start to panic.

"Are you not happy? You're going to say yes, right?" I ask. Emma closes her eyes and sighs.

"I don't know." she moans.

"What do you mean you don't know? Don't you love Hook?" I ask worriedly.

"Of course I love him but marriage is a really big commitment and I don't think I'm ready for it." she explains.

I frown. "Well you could have a long engagement." I say. I really want Emma to be happy. So therefore, I really want it to work out between her and Hook. If she rejects his proposal, it'll be the end of them. They won't stay together if there's no future for them. She shakes her head.

"God. Why does this have to be happening?" she mumbles, biting her nails.

"Emma, it's going to be okay. Just say yes. What's the worse that could happen?" I ask. She rolls her eyes.

"I'd be lying to him! I don't want to get married! I'm not ready! I don't want to lie to him." she exclaims. I nod and rub her back.

"I don't know what to do, Mom. Tell me what to say." she moans.

"I can't tell you what to say, Emma. This is your decision. Let me give you a piece of advice though. Listen to what he says before proposing. That might help you make up your mind." I say.

She nods. "Well, I should probably get going. Thanks Mom." she says. I stare at her as she walks out of the room and sigh. I thought she'd be really happy and excited. But now I'm really worried about what's going to happen. David walks into the room and wraps his arms around me.
