On April the 1st, 2019, the Earth was destroyed in a cataclysmic event. Billions of people were wiped out in a matter of minutes. Ironically, the seven survivors of the apocalypse were the very siblings who brought it on.

November 25, 1963
A large blue portal opened above an alley snug between three buildings and a high street in Dallas. From it, a red-head girl fell from it and onto the street below, followed swiftly by a brown-haired schoolboy. Once her back hit the gravel, a loud groan fell from her lips, her eyes scrunched in pain and her eyebrows dragged together. Flickers of pain shot down her spine as she fought them and placed her elbows underneath her, hauling herself to her feet -- however, her blue eyes remained on the portal her boyfriend had created, hoping the rest of her siblings would fall out in a few seconds.

Five Hargreeves slowly got up, noticing his girlfriend resting on her back and the distant sound of guns firing and yelling. Kali also noticed it after a second, rolling onto her front and lifting her body up, her hand gripping onto Fives' hand. They both turned to the portal above them, "Klaus," Kali yelled, hoping that her twin would appear,

"Luther, Diego," Five called out, pulling Kali closer to him as the portal began to close and the wind whipped them viciously. The blue portal snapped shut and the gunshots in the distance grew louder, both teens' heads snapping towards the sound.

They both stumbled a few steps forward, noticing the fires that bit into the buildings in front of the alley, a crashed car on the side of an old cinema. As they stepped closer to the edge of the alleyway, a large tank wandered across. A soldier screamed as he ran ahead of the tank, waving a destroyed flag behind him.

He didn't get two steps in front of the tank before he was shot off his feet, a bundle of soldiers taking his place. Above them, two sharp fighting planes soared through the sky, and an explosion sounded in a building in front of them.
