Lily's P.O.V

I am now five months pregnant and I have a decent size belly for being super skinny from all the cancer treatments. My first check up they told me I was already four months and I didn't even know it! They said that was completely normal and that the baby is perfectly fine. I may have complications, but everything should go smoothly. I was currently getting dressed to go to the grocery store, there was absolutely no food in the house. I dressed in jeans, uggs, and a long sleeved cozy shirt. December, was one of my favorite months ! I loved seeing the snow on the open fields. I climbed into my Toyota four runner and and headed for the store. Our grocery store in town is a small market, where you run into about everyone. No one knew I was pregnant or even married for that matter because my whole family has kept me locked up and kept a secret. On the way to the store, I looked in my mirrors , where I saw a blue pick up that looked strangely familiar. I focused on the road, when the truck honked and passed me.

"Jerk." I huffed and continued to drive.

Finally, I arrived at the store and grabbed a cart and headed into the store. I was looking in the baby isle, when I heard a gasp

"Lily Anderson is that you sweetheart." I turned around and there stood the preachers wife Kelly . I smiled and walked over to her.

"How are you sweetie." She asked politely, but was staring at my growing tummy. I giggled inside noticing her face.

"I am doing fine Mrs. Kelly. The cancer is not ever going to be fully gone, but that is something I am going to live with. I got married six months ago and now expecting our first child." I smiled and she sighed a relief when I said married

"Oh thank the Lord ! I am so happy for you ! Congratulations on the little one, everyone at the church will be so happy." I smiled and gave her a hug before heading for the check out. My cart was filled to the rim with everything that we would need. While I was heading for the line I noticed someone staring  I looked up there stood Ryan. He stared at my stomach and he looked angry and shocked. Quickly, I turned my cart and tried to find an escape/

"Lily ! " I didn't turn around but headed for another line. I was helped by a younger gal and she was sweet. I kept looking over my shoulder, making sure Ryan wasn't anywhere close. Quickly, I walked to my car and loaded up the back seats. I started the car, locked the doors, and took a deep breath. My heart was going crazy. I had to get out of here, and fast. I reversed out of the parking spot and turned out into the road. I breathed a sigh of relief when I was on the road. The whole ride to the doctor's office I was in fear. Ryan was suppost to in Iraq or something. He went to boot-camp and enlisted himself. I signed myself in and looked at the door waiting for Landon to come in and hold me. I picked up a magazine and started reading about breastfeeding. I was engrossed into the magazine that I did not notice a hand on my leg. I jumped and quietly screamed. I turned and Landon sat there with a smirk on his face.

"Scardey cat." He chuckled. I shook my head and tears streamed down my face. His face fell and he quickly grabbed my hand

"No no don't cry . I was just joking I am sorry. Please forgive me." He pleaded, but I couldn't form words from fear and from being emotional .  Finally, when I gained control over my hormonal state. I picked my head up and choked out.

"It wasn't your comment. It is just -" I spoke, but couldn't finish because the nurse called my name. I stood up and Landon grabbed my hand.

"What were you going to say darlin'." He sweetly asked, while helping me get on the table. I shook my head, if I told him he would do something irrational and it would just make him angry.

"Nothing babe. Just hormonal. Sorry."  I whispered and smiled, his thumb rubbed against my cheek soothingly. I closed my eyes and leaned into his touch
