"Aqua, come over here, I need to show you something!" Copper yelled at Aqua, her rushing over to see the predicament he was in. In his hand, he held a tiny notepad that would be microscopic to humans, inside the notepad was several dad jokes that Copper grouped for these moments. Within a month of living in the sewers, Copper and Metal have heard many bad jokes that would make the human children laugh, Copper, having the idea that laughter would help find voices.

Voices were exactly the result that came out, his subject today being Aqua. She's the first lumalight in a while that was born voiceless. "Wanna hear some jokes I heard of?" Copper asked, taking Aqua to his little home where he mostly slept for half the day. Aqua sat on the marshmallow bed that belonged to Copper, him sitting next to Aqua with several jokes in store. "What did the cheese get in school?" Copper questioned, Aqua tilting her head in confusion. "Graded" he filled in the blank.

Aqua kept a face of amusement, on the inside cringing from how bad it was. "Why did the golfer bring two pairs of pants? In case he got a hole in one!" Copper replied, Aqua holding her stomach as though something was going to burst out. If they kept going like this, Copper would surely crack Aqua, forcing her voice out. This was perfect for him so that communication would play out faster. "One more, wanna hear the one about the pizza?" Copper quizzed Aqua, her nodding seriously.

"I can't tell you, it's too cheesy," Cooper said, whispering the last two words. At that, Aqua burst out in laughter, tears of ecstasy trailing down her cheek, Copper sitting there with the biggest blush in history books. "Metal is going to love your laugh" Copper sighed, hugging Aqua with little effort. Aqua returned the hug, and got up from the marshmallow bed, heading out of the small house. "Don't talk to Metal until tonight after dinner!" Copper waved, Aqua zipping her mouth shut.

Coincidentally timed, Metal was there to meet Aqua again. "Hey! I was wondering what took so long" Metal shyly giggled, Aqua shrugging it off, not using her hands at all. Metal guided Aqua over to Grass, some lumalight that wanted to cooperate with her. "Let me know if you need anything. Okay, Aqua?" Metal said with one hand traced on top of her left cheek. Aqua held her hand up with a positive answer, Metal heading off to wherever he needed to be. Grass had her undivided attention.

"I don't see the problem with Metal, but I hope you do" Grass sighed, Aqua confused as to why he would start this conversation like that. As a sign of confusion, she tilted her head to the side, her eyes furrowed to one that seemed puzzled. "I know it seems weird, but Metal has some liking to you. If you wanna know more, just give me a holler" Grass whispered, sprinting back to work.

Grass has plant abilities, and anything he touches can grow vines, bushes, or leaves. When Aqua last held his hand, it both extended the reach of his arm and doused the fire that burned his green skin. Everyone was ready to have dinner soon, and Copper was back to ensuring everyone's safety. Aqua further explored the under-construction town, glancing around areas that seemed abandoned. There was an old well with a broken rope and a town bell that was cracked.

This was a place that Copper and Metal did not mention to Aqua, and she seems intrigued to figure out why. "Hello?" Aqua whispered, her voice echoing down the tunnel that was hidden from humans. There were only sounds of rushing water due to the repetitive rain outside, flowing into the tunnels. Light from the surface poured in as well, the grates of the street curb illuminating the dark area. Aqua did not get the response she wanted, so she pressed on to find something new.

"Hello?" she called out again, hands projecting her voice into the long and empty tunnels, a series of hello's bouncing off one another. Aqua had reached the end of the tunnel, where water from the surface cut the path in two, the only way to go is back to the others. Up ahead was another place, an unreachable one at that. Determination to seek new things struck Aqua, and never before has this been accomplished. Aqua decided to check what was on the other side.

Worn out planks were the first thing that caught the attention of Aqua, her brain forming a plan, and setting it into the light. Sure it wasn't much, but Aqua will have to do with her resources. She made herself a half-bridge, the water just out of reach for Aqua to feel confident in what she was doing. One misstep, however, and it all goes downhill, into the nasty waters that took away Metal and Copper's dear friend. Aqua counted down from three to one, ready to take a leap of faith.

In that brief moment, Aqua felt like she had wings, jumping over to the other side, and landing safely. Just behind her, the newly made half-bridge was broken up from the shore, the waters dragging it into the abyss. Now, Aqua had a newer tunnel to roam around, forage the creepy and dark tunnel. The more unsettling part of this area was that there was no sound of splashing or waterfalls. Up ahead was the most silent of those waterfalls, no source of the water seen.

Aqua neared the said body of liquid and saw her reflection. It was far more gloomy of a reflection to look at. There was a wrinkly, old white dress that was in the reflection, along with droopy eyes, and a mouth that was a permanent jagged smile. Where was she, and what was this reflection of herself? "Who are you?" Aqua asked, her reflection copying her sentence. To ensure it was an illusion, Aqua rubbed her eyes and peered up, the same sad reflection there.

Out of curiosity, Aqua rose her hand, inching closer to the suspicious waters that showed her this form of herself. As Aqua got close enough to make contact with herself, a hand-pulled her hand, and her vision blackened. Everything around her was blurry and spinning around as if she had passed out. Muffled voices around her began interrogating what occurred. "Aqua, can you hear me?" a familiar voice spoke up, Aqua squinting from the new light in her eyes.

Finally, her vision readjusted, and there were Metal and Copper with devastated faces. "Aqua, are you alright?" Copper worried, Aqua sitting up from the marshmallow bed that belonged to Copper. She looked around, wondering when did she get here, or was she having a dream a while ago. "You passed out during dinner, so we helped treat you without the others pressing questions" Metal informed Aqua, her getting up from the bed, and making sure this was reality.

Just near the door was a hammer that hung from the shelf of tools. Aqua took that hammer, and lightly tapped it on her knee, satisfied that she wasn't dreaming. "Well I won't bother you any longer, so please be more careful" Copper pleaded, returning to taking care of others who were on the verge of death or even silly little accidents. Metal stood behind to tell Aqua one last thing. "Can you see me at nine, near the elevator? I wanna show you something" Metal begged Aqua.

In his hand, a watch that was made suitable for the size of a lumalight. Aqua allowed Metal to place it on her wrist, Aqua poking at the new accessory, watching the second hand tick by. "It's nine when the hour hand hits the number" Metal noted, pointing at the hour hand to clear up the confusion. Aqua nodded, treasuring the new gift she received. Metal left Copper's small home, and rushed off to wish everyone a goodnight, them going to their homes for rest or small parties.

Aqua was sure to be there when the hour hit nine. In the meanwhile, she familiarized herself with the different tools and weapons in Copper's home. It was such a wonder to her what Copper would need all these for besides inventing and creating.
