Morning time dawned on all the sleeping spirits, one by one they came to frolic on the deck, fulfilling their roles. Aqua had no role, so she wandered around aimlessly while thinking about Copper. Yes, the taller lumalight of bronze color, the one who steered the ship to their freedom. It's been days in the sewers, lost and cold. If their dear friend, Fire were still around, he would surely help to keep everyone warm and cozy. "Does anyone need food yet!?" Grass asked the several remaining lumalights on board. No one replied, yet Mid did step up to pick up his ration. "Thank you" Mid thanked, sitting down on a tilted barrel from the previous encounter.
"Anyone else?" Grass questioned, silence filling his ears. "Suit yourselves" Grass sighed, fitting the barrel with the missing top. Copper who was on the wheel was falling asleep in and out, loosing his balance from standing for so long. Skull, the only one who minded noticed his predicament, and signaled Grass to take charge. Grass did as told, and took the liberty of steering the ship. Skull cautiously carried Copper downstairs to rest in one of the bedrooms. "What happened to Copper?" Aqua asked Mid, the mixed spirit taking his time eating a grape.
"He was falling asleep. If he wants to keep control of the boat, he has to have lots of built up energy" Mid notified the always peculiar Aqua. She nodded in response, her eyes traveling around aimlessly. That is until she spotted something from outside of the boat. There on the walk path was a small shadow the size of herself, hiding behind a pile of waste. "Grass, could you stop the boat for a moment?" Aqua requested, Grass tilting his head in confusion. "What? Did you drop something outside of the boat?" Grass interrogated, Aqua searching for an excuse.
"Y-yes! Can I go get it?" Aqua begged, her hands folded together with big doll-like eyes. "I don't know, can you?" Grass smirked, Aqua confused from his gesture. Mid groaned out of annoyance, and informed Aqua the proper way to ask for anything. "May I?" Aqua corrected herself, Grass irritated that Mid had to tell her something. "Fine, be my guest" Grass muttered, sinking the anchor, and sitting down on the wooden floorboards. The small plank the boat had lowered to floor level, Aqua using her glow ability to navigate the cold, dark, and eerie tunnel. Just there, a few feet away was the hidden figure, shaking underneath a ripped tissue.
"Are you a lumalight?" Aqua quizzed, the eyes of the spirit glowing through the tissue. Fear overtook Aqua, she flinched, stepping back two steps. "Who are you?" the small spirit asked, Aqua calming down from her panic attack. "I'm Aqua, a water lumalight" Aqua introduced herself, lending out a hand for the lumalight to take hold of. "How about you?" Aqua waited, the mysterious spirit fumbling over their words. "I-I'm Bulb" the girl spirit greeted back, standing up with the tissue still on their head, the glowing eyes still visible. "Bulb? Like lightbulb?" Aqua implied, Bulb bobbed her head. "I know someone just like you!" Aqua beamed.
Bulb seemed thrilled to know she was not the only one, but Aqua misinterpreted some of her own words. "Wait, they're not exactly like you, but if you come with us, you'll see what I mean" Aqua rephrased, Bulb giving a hum of contentment, and following alongside Aqua. The two strolled back to the plank of the boat, Aqua halting in her tracks. "Oh, can you give me a couple of seconds?" Aqua pardoned herself, heading up the plank, and leaving behind Bulb.
"Grass! Could I bring someone on board with us?" Aqua asked the half asleep male, pleading with her hands unified. Grass squinted at the little lumalight, wondering whether or not to accept this stranger onboard. "Well what kind of lumalight are they?" Grass peered closer, Aqua looking back at the female who was scared to lift off the tissue over her head. "An...electric one" Aqua hesitated, Grass thinking hard on the subject before allowing the new member onboard. "What is your name, little one?" Grass quizzed.
Bulb stepped on the deck, and fidgeted with her hands, trying to find her voice trapped down in her throat. "B-Bu-Bulb" she stuttered, the others finding it cute since she is child size compared to the others. "No need to fear, we're just like you" Grass cheered, Skull beside him to correct his mistake. "Not exactly like you, but you get the point" Skull noted, Bulb taking in the appearance of each individual. "Is there any other electric spirits like me here?" Bulb questioned, Aqua nodding.
As she did, some tiny drips of water stained the wooden floors a darker shade, Aqua ignoring the change in flooring. "Follow me" Aqua instructed, Bulb following close behind, heading down the stairs, and into the Cabin where Mid was taking care of Bolt. "You'll have to keep your voice down, Bolt is resting" Aqua informed Bulb, the female stepping closer to take a look at Bolt. His head still had lots of scars from the ghosts, some completely healed while others remained there for longer.
"Hey, I'm Mid. I'm a mixed lumalight" Mid introduced himself, Bulb doing a small curtsey before raising her head. "I'm Bulb, nice to meet you" she stretched a big smile, still admiring the sleeping Bolt's features. "What happened to him?" Bulb questioned, tracing her small hand over where one of the small cuts were on his face. Mid took the role of explaining their situation from the past. "There were these ghost we came across, and they did this to him when he got close to the water" Mid said.
"I'm sorry to hear that" Bulb sighed, sitting on her knees as she inspected Bolt from a closer point of view. Bolt made no sound, only his chest heaved up and back down from breathing. Bulb glided her hands over Bolt's facial features, poking at where his nose would be, the slight sound of giggles erupting from Bolt. As Bolt rose himself from the bed, Mid jumped back in fright, wondering how Bolt recovered so fast. Sparks of electricity bounced off Bolt, Bulb gasped, thrilled to see him awake.
When all the pieces came back together for Bolt, he took a good look around his area, getting familiar with the room he was in. Mid waved his hand in front of Bolt, waiting for Bolt to snap out of his trance. "Hello? Earth to Bolt" Mid yawned, Bolt blinking several times before coming to his senses. "I'm so sorry for freaking you guys out, that was unintentional" Bolt apologized, Aqua and Mid accepting his apology, and giving Bulb time to get herself acquainted with Bolt.
Mid was the first to speak after the long silence. "So how the hell did you wake up so fast?" Mid gawked, Bolt wondering the same thing, until his mind clicked. "I'm like a battery, I could die. I guess when this girl touched my face, she transferred electric charge into me, and my health replenished" Bolt explained, Mid still baffled from the whole reincarnation. "She did God's work!" Mid spat out, stumbling on words as he tried to glue the pieces together. "I'm still somehow confused" Mid rubbed his forehead.
Aqua didn't bother asking for a better explanation, she was glad to see Bolt alive and well. Especially Bulb now that she has someone similar to herself to talk to. From the next room, the sound of tapping footsteps could be hear, it getting louder until they approached the front of the door. Copper came in with a face full of sweat as though he ran a marathon, and noticed the new member, and awake spirit. "Bolt! You're okay!" Copper glistened, wanting to run up and give him a hug, but composing himself.
For the remainder of the day, Bolt and Bulb became friends, and during the nighttime, Grass paused the boat, and everyone got to hang out together. Mid was not included because he slept exactly when the Sun set, but he still had fun sleeping when Skull joined in his big marshmallow bed. The day went swimmingly for them all, especially Aqua since this was a new learning experience for her.
