Morning light dripped over the land, Grass as well as the others taking a liking to the new environment they were in. They were far away from the city, there was no sighting of any humans nearby, and there were lots of natural resources to use to build! Grass saw this as a chance to begin building new homes, Skull as well as Bulb agreeing. Mid was still asleep in Skull's arms, regaining his energy to even function. Copper had no words for the loss of another one of his friends. Yet again, he didn't know whether or not Aqua escaped from the radius of the shock. There was very little chance of her survival, but Copper prayed for the short end of the stick. "Copper, you coming?" Grass snapped him out of his thoughts.
"Yeah, give me a moment" Copper rubbed his own forehead, wanting to forget about their tragedy in the tunnels. Grass let him be, grabbing all the stuff he could, and taking it out the boat, Bulb helping him as well. Both Grass and Bulb did all the transporting while Skull laid in the shade with Mid, making sure Mid got all the rest he needed. As the day progressed, Grass couldn't help but hear familiar voices coming from further in the woods. It wasn't dark or scary, but it was big! As Grass crept around the corner to see who's voices kept speaking, he found the culprits. "F-Flora!?" Grass remarked, his eyes lighting up with joy.
"Grass! You're out here too!?" Flora leaped into his arms, the two spinning around, and kissing one another. "Where the hell did you go!? I thought you were dead a long time ago!" Grass scoffed, Flora shaking her head in disbelief. The others who were with her like Cube, Oil, and Rubber all giggled at the two's reunion. "Me? Dead? That's preposterous" Flora giggled, kissing Grass where his nose would be, and staying cuddled in his arms. "If you're way out here, are the others as well?" Cube questioned, Grass nodding. "We can all live together again, like old times!" Grass lit up, Cube, Oil, and Rubber liking the sound of that. "Lead the way!" Oil roared.
The five went to where the others were, still taking their belongings out of the boat that was in the pond, slowly but surely finishing. Cube, Oil, Flora and Rubber were all happy to see Copper of all spirits still alive, their leader from long ago when Metal was also alive. "Copper!" Cube shouted, running up to Copper to give him a big hug. Copper heard the familiar voice, and flinched in surprise, catching Cube in his arms. "Where the heck did you come from!?" Copper asked, the others joining in on the hug too. "Too much heat, need air!" Copper gasped, the others backing off from him. Oil helped unpacking, Grass and Flora making homes to live in.
Cube regrouped with Skull and Mid, the three happy to be together since they use to live in the same tiny building. Of course Mid was asleep, but Skull knew he would be happy to see their neighbor again. Rubber continued doing what he did best, and made gloves for everyone so that they could touch one another safely. Copper didn't feel the need for gloves at the moment, he simply wanted alone time. The others realized his distant self, and went to Grass for answers. "Grass, what happened to Copper?" Cube and Oil interrogated him, Grass stopping his building to face the others. "It's something on a personal level" Grass warned, Cube not backing down.
"Just say it" Oil blabbered, not patient for anything. "Okay okay, Aqua as well as Bolt fell in the waters of the sewers" Grass sighed, feeling regret in telling them that. The others gasped in shock, wondering the kind of situation they were put through. "I'm sorry to hear that" Cube sighed, Oil taking off his tinkering hat, and holding it to his chest. Flora overheard the conversation, and as well gave a moment of silence for the loss of the two. After they had their silence, Flora and Grass got back to building their new homes, finishing just before sunset. "Skull, how much food do the barrels have?" Rubber inspected, Skull checking the barrels.
"About enough for a week" Skull answered, Rubber bobbing his head. "Grass, you think you can make a farm with all this land!?" Rubber shouted over to Grass. "In the morning I can! I would need Flora to help with that!" Grass yelled back, making sure the new homes were livable. Thankfully, his months of practice paid off, and everyone had homes to live in. It was dinnertime, and as the lumalights usually did, they set out a long table for them all to eat together. They got to know Bulb better since she was new, and hear the adventure they had in the tunnels on the boat. It was a long night, but a fun one.
When they all were done with their food, they all cleaned their own plates in the buckets they had. One by one, they headed to their new homes, and slept in for the night, wishing each other sweet dreams. Mid and Skull shared a home together, Cube had her own as well as Oil. Rubber had a small shack-like home, and Flora shared one with Grass. Bolt had her own too, all of their houses close to one another in case of any favors or requests, even visits! Copper did not head inside his home yet, he wanted to walk around the area they now live in, admire the woods they lived in at night. Grass from the window of his home could see Copper, letting him wander off since he needed to clear his head. Copper could not stop thinking about Aqua.
It was a tragic accident that happened, and something that could not leave his mind. As he wandered where the boat still resided in the pond, he kicked some rocks in the water, leaving ripples of water overlapping one another. The bronze colored spirit sat down on the grass, his elbows perched on his knees as his hands propped up beneath his chin, looking at his reflection in the water. From where he sat, he could see the lights from the homes Grass and the others made together, content with the feeling of being close to safety. While he was admiring the new view of their home, he heard bubbles of water popping from the pond, something from inside the pond coming out. As he watched whatever was coming out, he saw it was a ghost spirit.
Copper was frozen in fear, his legs numb from sitting for so long. He could only watch as his life was close to an end. That wasn't the case however. Rather, it seemed something from deeper in the water dragged the ghost down, the savior being unknown to Copper. It was an unusual experience to him, but it's something he felt the need to not forget. "That was weird" Copper mumbled, stashing his hands in his pockets as he made his way into his home. Once he got in, he turned on the light to see what it looked like. Like a human house, he had everything that he would ever need. There was a Living room, Bedroom, Kitchen, and Bathroom for all their basic necessities. Grass and Flora really outdid themselves!
This was something Copper could get use to. It was glad to have almost everything back to the way it was. Almost everything...
