'What do I do?' Aqua though, banging her head on both sides with her balled up fists. Then an idea came into mind. A crazy, impossible, and dangerous idea that seemed to be her only ray of hope. Copper noticed the determination in her eyes, stopping her before she operated her plan. "Wait! If you have a plan, tell me first!" Copper warned, Aqua sitting on the floor to explain her plan. "I could go down there and fix the motor" Aqua implied, Copper shaking his head, and disregarding that plan. "No, you're not doing that, it's too risky!" Copper reminded, Aqua wanting to set her plan in motion. "I don't have to go alone, you can help me!" Aqua noted. "And if it doesn't work out, then what?" Copper questioned. Aqua didn't have a back up plan for that.

Copper took the silence that it wasn't a good idea after all, the boat still being stalled because of the ghosts clinging on to the sides, and tipping it over from side to side, making water splash on board. Grass took notice of the ghosts trying to climb on board, and grew out his arms, swatting them away, and back into the water. "Just let me do this!" Aqua whined, Copper holding her down from leaving. "No, I won't let you!" Copper shouted, keeping his grip around her waist strong. "Why won't you let me help!?" the water lumalight shrieked, Copper tightening his hold even more. "Because I don't want to loose you, gosh dang it!" Copper cried, Aqua stopped resisting. Copper's tears fell on to her head, and sunk in. "What?" Aqua replied.

"I love you, can't you see I'm scared to loose you?" Copper sobbed, holding Aqua in his lap, and rubbing her head softly, his eyes watery and droopy. Aqua looked up to see his saddening tone, wiping the tears off with her hand, not understanding where this emotion was coming from. "Aqua, please don't go, we can find another way" Copper begged, rocking Aqua side to side, hoping to make her reconsider. The ghosts had them surrounded, Grass couldn't hold the ghosts away from long before they outnumber him. Skull had more than he could chew when it came to the litter in the boat's path, and Mid was having difficulties summoning out the Sun.

It was very clear to Aqua what had to be done, and she was not backing out from her idea. Her plan was set in stone, and she had to do one thing before she initiated it. "Copper, I know you won't let me, but just look at everyone else who's suffering" Aqua pleaded, Copper turning around to see everyone trying their hardest to put their abilities to use, them all either not being of any use, or were struggling to make a difference. "I know, Aqua, but at least we're trying something" Copper remarked, Aqua sighing, yet smiling because of what she had to do next. "Copper, what I'm going to do is dangerous, but just know that I love you" Aqua wiped her own tear away, hugging Copper around the neck.

Her own tears came out her eyes for the first time, hitting the floor. Copper held on tight to Aqua, not letting go to prevent Aqua from starting her scheme. Too bad for him, Aqua learned to phase through him as literal water, and got back up in her lumalight form, running to the back, and jumping in to the water. "Aqua!" Copper blurted out, sprinting to where Aqua was just standing, and spectating her from above the water. In the water, Aqua made it inside, the ghost that were so focused on the motor now directing their anger to Aqua. Perfectly timed, Aqua spaced out a bubble that specifically clean water lumalights could enter, no ghosts could even past through.

The more they tried, the more the bubble of water pushed back the ghosts, Aqua able to float down to where the motor was. There in the motor was about four ghosts holding the blades from spinning which caused the boat to come to a halt. However, there was only so much Aqua could do, and the only way she saw fit to fix this was making another bubble where the motor was. In consequence, her own bubble would pop. Instead, she moved her bubble closer to the motor, and prepared to grab on the moment her other bubble appears. 'In three, two, one!' Aqua counted down, making her other bubble surrounding the motor,  and pushing away the ghosts, Aqua grabbing on, and the boat back to speeding off in the water.

Back behind her were all the ghosts attempting to catch up, but the boat was still out of reach for them. They were the same speed of the boat, so the others up above would have to put faith in Mid to raise the Sun. "Mid, any day now!" Grass hinted, Mid groaning of frustration. "This is the first time any of you ask me to do this!" Mid protested, putting all his effort into lifting the Sun. While the boat continued traveling on, one of the ghosts caught up to the boat, leaching on to Aqua's leg, and trying to pull her out the bubble. It was the terrifying ghost replica of Aqua, digging their claws into Aqua's leg, and making Aqua wince in pain.

The other ghosts could not catch up, only the one that was latched on to Aqua was quick enough. "What is taking Aqua so long to come back up?" Copper nervously paced around, hoping to see wherever Aqua was down below. In attempts to get rid of the ghost, Aqua used her other leg to kick off the ghost, their hand slowly slipping off her leg. It worked in her favor so far, so she continued to kick, waiting until their grip finally released. As the boat resumed it's steering, there were many sharp corners up ahead that Grass had to tend to, making sure to the best of his abilities to not bump the boat. Like a jinx, he hit one of the corners, Aqua losing her grasp on the motor, the ghost still tugging at her leg, and slowly climbing up her.

Another bump hit, and up above, Bolt lost his balance, falling overboard, and Skull witnessing his downfall. "Guys! Bolt fell out the boat!" Skull shouted to the others, Bulb the most saddened while Copper and Grass felt that was coming. Aqua completely lost her grip, being left behind in the waters with the ghost. Bolt was floating by in the water, Aqua noticing him, and immediately freaking out because of what that meant. Seconds after his arrival, the whole river of water flashed a bright white, all the ghosts fading away as well as Bolt, Aqua being dragged down with the others. Copper saw the flash from behind, and knew what that would have meant. "AQUA!".

As Copper shouted that, Mid was finally able to raise the Sun, all of his energy drained, and him collapsing on to the floor. Skull noticed Mid collapse, and ran to his side, holding Mid's head in his lap. "Just rest, you'll be alright" Skull motioned, Mid closing his eyes, and using Skull's lap as his pillow. Grass steered the boat out to where he saw a distant light at the end of the tunnel, knowing that Mid did successfully change the time of day. Bulb was lonely now that her friend and possible love interest has faded from her life. Copper felt the same, wondering if there was hope that Aqua was still alive. They reached the end of the tunnel, being greeted by the outer world. "We're here, we've reached freedom" Grass sighed, the river of water reaching a pond.

They were now in the outer wilderness, away from the city. Out from the tunnels, the sewers, and away from the ghosts. They were free, and they had to make homes now to restart their lives. "Copper, what do we do now?" Grass asked the still scarred lumalight, the others waiting for similar answers. Copper turned to face them, wanting to say something but couldn't. His throat was clogged with the tears that still streamed down from his white eyes. Then they remembered...
