When I wake up, I am in Dylan's arms again. Or still. I don't honestly know. But it's not long before he wakes up and starts to put his clothes back on. Dylan then walks over, kisses me on the forehead, and then he's gone.

Follow him.

Go, Kaia. You'll want to see this.

"See what?" I grumble. I sit up and slip out after Dylan, after I put on my slippers. I follow Dylan all the way to the woods around back of the apartment building.

Dylan walks into the darkened forest and I follow until he stops. I stop too, and  I don't think he noticed I was following him.

Dylan hunches down in the weeds and just sits.

But nothing happens.

The sky starts to lighten a little. He looks at it, confused. Delayed reaction or something? When has it done this before? Hmm.

Suddenly, there is a flash of black and white light, and Dylan screams. Spectral images of a wolf and a hawk appears, and both of them attack Dylan, who is disoriented.

"Dylan!" I cry, running over to him.

The bird and wolf turn and then go back to trying to attack Dylan, and I pick up a rock, throwing it at the hawk. It vanishes into thin air. Dylan then uppercuts the wolf, and it vanishes.

"Oh my god, are you okay?" I ask as I rush over to Dylan's side.

"Kaia? What's happening?" he asks, looking up at me. But then, the sky is illuminated by the sun as it rises. I touch Dylan's hands, and hold them in my own.

"I won't leave you," I say.

He smiles at me, tears in his eyes.

"Are you okay?"

"I think so, but ... Kaia, I'm not an animal."

"Yeah, I ... oh. Oh my ... Dylan, did we do it? Did we break your curse?"

"I think so! Wait, we didn't break yours?"

"No," I say. "But you ... you aren't trapped as an animal anymore?"

He picks me up and spins around. Then he sets me down and presses a kiss to my head. He then hugs me.

"I love you," he says.

"I love you too," I say.

"Come on, we're going to get rid of your curse."
