~Bailey's POV~:
We had already arrived in Illinois since it's only about a 7 hour drive from Minneapolis, Minnesota. I've never been to Illinois before actually. It's going to be exciting to be on this small trip.

I got up before anyone else and made myself some hot chocolate. I've never liked coffee it just tastes bitter. At least hot chocolate doesn't taste like dirt...

"You're up early..." A deep voice spoke up behind me causing me to jump. I didn't expect anyone else to be up right now...I turned around to see who had caused me to nearly spill my hot chocolate.

It was Calum.

"Good morning to you too Calum. And yeah I just kinda woke up and didn't feel like going back to bed." I said with a shrug. "Do you want some hot chocolate? Or do you prefer coffee?"

Calum stretched his arms out. He was in a Nirvana T-shirt and some grey sweatpants. When he stretched his biceps showed a little. I pretended not to notice.

Calum then yawned and replied, "Um...I'll make myself some coffee." He kind of groaned obviously not wanting to be up at this hour.

I sat down at the little booth near the kitchen area. "Calum why are you up so early?" I asked. I only questioned him because he looked like he could go sleep for another day before being fully awake.

"Luke kept kicking me in his sleep...it was getting pretty annoying. I barely slept to he honest." He shrugged it off and joined me. "Why are you up this early?"

"I already told you. I just kinda woke up...and I'm kind of the type of person to get up early. I'm more of an early bird I guess then a night owl..." I took a sip of my hot chocolate after answering.

Calum just nodded. Then he smirked. Why is he smirking? I raised an eyebrow at his unusual action. That only made him smirk even more, if that was possible.

"We need a ship name?" He finally said. His smirk faded into a faint smile. I furrowed my eyebrows together and gave him a puzzled look. What is he talking about?

"Calum what are you talking about?" I put my thoughts to words to hopefully clear up my confusion over whatever Calum was trying to get at here.

"Well ship names are when you combine the two first names...or I guess last names...of two people you think would be a cute couple. Like how Luke and I are Cake!" He finally concluded. I really didn't need the explanation. I know what ship names are but I was confused on why Calum wanted us to have one.

"Okay...so why do we need a ship name?" I asked with a puzzled look once again.

"I don't know...it's just fun to come up with them. Not like it will actually be a thing. I'm just doing it for the fun of it." Calum said happily. Is this really a hobby for him? Coming up with ship names?

"Okay. Let's see what we can come up with." I said. Calum looked pleased. We spent the next couple of minutes thinking to ourselves about names. We finally decided to go over what we had come up with.

I spoke first, "Well if we were doing first names I came up with Bailum and if we were doing last names I thought of Pinood." I said quickly. I made eye contact with Calum who was trying not to laugh. I guess my name ideas were funny to him.

"Well okay then...I don't know your last name. What is it?" Calum asked. I guess I never told him. Have I told any of the boys yet? Oh well it's not a big deal it's just a last name.

"Pine. It's a simple name, Bailey Pine." I answered, shrugging my shoulders once again.

"I like it. It's simple just like Hood." He smiled. "So since I didn't know your last name I thought of Cailey as our ship name." It did sound better then Bailum...

"Cailey?" I asked. It still sounds odd to me. "Calum that sounds to much like my name...I feel like your name should have more of a part in this name."

"Bailey I have the first two letters, you have the rest. My name is first so it's only fair if I get less letters then you." I laughed at his response.

"Okay I guess...it's better then Bailum too so I think it's good." I looked up at Calum and smiled faintly, glad we had decided on a ship name. We both knew we weren't actually going to start something like that but like Calum said, they're fun to come up with.

For the next hour or so we just talked about the band and music. He kept urging me to play for everyone but I just kept refusing. I don't like playing for people...it's a fear of mine. He told me about how they became a band and where they gained musical inspiration. It was cool to learn more about them.

After that hour or whatever it was Ashton joined us and a few minutes after him, Ava. It was expected that Luke and Michael would be the last ones up.

Soon after they were all up they had to get ready. They had sound check in a few hours and a show tonight. Ava and I decided to get ready too. It would be kinda fun to see their concert and their sound check since we haven't seen them perform yet at all.

"Hey Ava and Bailey you want to join us up on the stage?" Luke had called out to us. They had just finished sound check.

"Sure!" Ava yelled back. I really didn't want to since they might just drag me into playing for them but I joined Ava. I didn't want to be such a stick in the mud...

"Okay Bailey I know you won't play for us with your usual instrument so how about you try playing Ashton's drum set? And Ava you can try my guitar..." Luke said again. He was still a bit awkward and shy especially when he talked to and about Ava.

"But..." I stammered. I just don't like embarrassing myself in general...it doesn't matter the instrument to be honest. "I'm going to suck you know..." I said quietly.

"It's okay we won't judge to much...besides Ashton can help if you really want." Michael said.

I just nodded and sat down on the little stool thing. Ashton rushed over and showed me where to place my feet and talked about some basic drumming tips. After a few minutes we were set up to play probably one of the worst songs ever. Not because it was a bad song but because I was playing the drums and Ava was playing the guitar.

Luke went to the mic to sing, Calum grabbed his bass, Ashton picked up a saxophone...he can play a saxophone? And Michael had a flute. Wait can he play the flute?!? What is this?

Ashton counted us in. Luke started singing She Looks so Perfect. I was happy cause I know this song pretty well to kind of come up with a basic rhythm. I still sucked but I could've been worse I guess...Ava was just awful to be honest but that was the point. Ashton did really well with his saxophone, I still can't believe he knows how to play it. Luke and Calum did well obviously since they have done this song with what they were using at the moment a billion times and Michael? Well let's just say he needs flute lessons.

Once the song was done. Everyone cheered while I just smiled. It sounded awful but it was actually really fun. Ava's cheeks were bright red, knowing she didn't do well but to be honest I didn't either and neither did Michael.

"Well that was fun." Calum said happily.

"Yeah it was." I said. The rest all agreed. It was hilarious actually. We made a new band...one that is not getting a record deal anytime soon. The boys better just stick to their original instruments...and Ava and I will stick to watching.

We all went back to the bus for an hour before the show starts to rest a little. The boys need it so they'll be energized for tonight. Ava and I just wanted to take a nap. Naps never hurt anyone.

I laid down in my bed and closed my eyes. Within seconds my eyelids grew heavy and I was drifting off into a small sleep.
